Hey so.

I know you do all your looking into junk about the woods and all the weird stuff around here.

So.

[...]

The other night, I got stuck along one of the trails because of that mistletoe. And I saw something someone in the woods. They had antlers. And they didn't do anything when I talked to them or anything and they just... walked off into the woods before Avery came and got me.

It kind of scared me It seemed weird to bring it up with Wes I tried to go towards them who the hell tries to

I was wondering if we could talk about it, maybe? I just... I figured I should tell someone. You seemed like a good someone?

Yeah I'm fine. I mean, they didn't do anything, they just stood there so I felt kind of weird. I also asked them to come help me get out of the mistletoe which maybe thinking back was not the best idea but???

Anyways. Yeah I mean, I just kind of want to know what kind of stuff you've dug up on junk in the woods. And the anonymous writer. And also I kind of want to help some if you need any help.

[...]

I'm just kind of worried about them. They're probably not bad, right?

I don't know how much of what I've read is even relevant, but I'm happy to share and I'd love the help. It would be nice to have someone to bounce idea off.

Seems to me that there are a few different happenings in the woods around Gooseberry. I'm not sure if the anonymous writer, the horned figures, and the Lake Gooseberry ghost are all related or not. What I do know is that there is a leyline running just past the school which can be credited with the magical nature of the woods themselves, although I don't know exactly where it runs (and I don't think anybody does). It's thought that leylines enhance magic and sometimes cause anomalies.

Ms. Petrichor sent out for a couple of books about ghosts for me. They've got to stay in the library, but I'm sure she'd let you read them if you'd like. Otherwise, I can just fill you in on what I've read. I don't think what you saw and the Lake Gooseberry ghost are the same entity, though.

Gosh, there's so much, I don't even know where to start. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find all that much about the horned figures that makes any real sense to me. The anonymous writer took credit last moon for taking Wes from his tent, which leads me to think the anonymous writer and the horned figure are one and the same. The anonymous writer sometimes talks about his brother, which fits with my understanding that there is more than one horned figure.

I don't think anything in the woods mean us any harm, but I haven't been able to find any readings on creatures that fit the bill for whatever you saw out in the woods. I can keep digging though!
