I guess so. I spend a lot of time in my head giving myself pretty high standards of behavior. But I appreciate the perspective.

Vee knows that I don't really feel that about anyone. Or don't really know what it's like. But I won't let it bother me, because it's not like a terrible thing for people to think, just the wrong thing.

Nah don't bother. I'll let all my words and deeds do my talking for me. And yeah. I think me and Vee will do Christmas day together and then I'll come for the rest of break. If that's okay with you?

Maybe she thinks that because you don't know what it's like to feel like that about anyone, you wouldn't recognize it until it's already happening. Or too late. Either way, you shouldn't let it bother you, no.

That's absolutely fine with me. I have to owl my parents and ask their permission, which I'll do right now and let you know for absolutely sure. But obviously it's fine with me or I wouldn't have invited you. I've got a lot of stuff going on for break, and you're welcome to tag along.

I have tried to get a single person to help explain what it's like but either I'm missing whatever it is that makes you feel that way, or else I just like, am completely misunderstanding what it is. But no, not letting it bother me. Or trying not to.

Okay. So long as I won't be in the way. But if Vee isn't home, it'll be lonely at the house. Plus think of how many plans we could make without classes to get in the way. And if you don't mind me tagging along, then i'm always up for stuff.

I think it's a brain chemistry thing. You'll get it when you get it. Don't rush or stress yourself over it. Relationships look weird and annoying from the outside, so it's not like I don't get your point of view.

You're never in my way. I'm volunteering at a magical creature shelter, I've got some underground dueling matches lined up, and my schedule is wide open for other shenanigans.

I like to keep busy. And it's hard to participate in official dueling tournaments when I'm in school since they involve multiple qualifying rounds I miss because I'm here, so underground dueling keeps my skills sharp while I'm home for break. And, well, I don't need to explain the shelter.

It's dangerous, which is its own kind of fun. With no rules in place, people can sometimes get really hurt. But you don't need to worry. I'm very good. Nifflers are so annoying. Every day when I have to clean their nests, it involves shaking out so much gold. Where do they even get it? Where?

Definitely not massages. If you want to send me to a spa, I won't argue, though I imagine there could be better uses of your money. Relaxing sounds nice though.
