[WARDED TO PREFECTS]
Well, it's that time of the year again: Azurcrest sledding. As much as we can appreciate the ingenuity always on display at this school, it's well-established that sledding down Azurcrest hill is against school rules, on account of being extremely dangerous. As is underage drinking, especially this close to the lodge. Honestly, did you all want to get caught

Nate and I are here, and we'll do our best to stop it. However, if one of the teachers find out, this will get much worse for everyone, so we'd appreciate any prefects who could spare the time to wrangle fractious sledders. This is a rather big hill, and people are very drunk.

[Added about ten minutes later:]

Never mind about not bringing a teacher into it. Broken bones means alerting Healer Mufferaw, and I am not lying to him about what people were doing to get injured this badly. I'm sorry, but everyone knew the rules when they started.

Thank you to everyone that stepped up to handle this, especially Ravi and Nate. Sledding is a tradition for Azurcrest, but it's dangerous and I've talked to everyone before about why it isn't a tradition that should continue. But you can see how well that went. Tonight could've been worse in any number of ways without prefect intervention and I'm grateful for all of you.

And I'm sorry I wasn't there to help. I've been in the library since this afternoon and didn't realize that anything was going on. But I'll be there as soon as I can.

Thank you for letting me know, Ravi. I doubt that a lecture from me is going to mean much after the teachers are done with them, but they're going to get one anyway. They all know how dangerous that is.

Ah... I wish I could tell you they weren't, but there's blood and broken bones. We sent Diego to the infirmary for his collarbone, but otherwise all of your roommates are standing.

I honestly can't believe Diego would do this. That the others would let him do this. He had a concussion yesterday. He should've gone back to the cabin to rest after class, not spent hours out in the cold drinking and putting himself into harm's way over and over again. I know he'll be all right if he's with Healer Mufferaw, but I don't like him being so reckless with himself.

I know why they did what they did. And I [...] know it's not my fault. I wish that I'd gone back to camp, because I might've realized that something was going on when the entire place emptied out, but I can't change that.

Yes, of course. Mufferaw's a great Healer, and broken bones take less than a day for magic to mend. Which... continues to be astounding to me, as a muggleborn. Maybe if broken bones were as serious as they are to No-Majs, we'd have less questionable stunts?
