The post of a million wards.
Is everyone happy with their patronus?

[Warded to Wes]

Are you in the mood to talk about the incident when you were camping?
[Warded to Sun-mi]
How are you feeling? Is it okay for me to ask?
[Warded to Ravi]
Do you want to talk about what happened or have you already bottled it up and buried it?
[Warded to Cecil]
Cecil, I hate to ask you for favors, because I know how busy you are. However, I need your help with something.

Aw, thanks, Raf :)

I should hope we never have to actually use them, but it is really nice to see a visible sign that you've reached a place of peace. Way better than yoga! I never know when it's supposed to be over.

I know nothing about yoga, I am probably flexible enough without it. But I do also like the physical aspect of that sort of meditation. Dance, or just focusing on a deep stretch, might be comparable. Casting a patronus is all mental.

I've never much liked adrenaline, although they say it clears your mind. I prefer the quiet sort of mental meditation, though I guess fishing or horse back riding are somewhere in the middle.

[Rafael/Cricket]

Can I ask you something?

Fishing takes too much patience for me, I think.

[Rafael/Cricket]

Of course. What is on your mind?

Did you read the anonymous post this moon?

Regrettably, yes. It was not as bad as last time for me personally, but I'm never glad to read certain things.

You must either want to talk about someone saying those terrible things about Wes, or that anonymous thing implying it took Wes from the tent.

It's a bit like pressing on a bruise, isn't it?

[...]

A bit of both, I guess. I'm not so worried about the things people were saying. I think they bothered you and I more than they'd ever bother Wes. He's got thicker skin than most.

Mostly, I wanted to ask you a favor. I told Wes about what the anonymous writer said and I'm not sure it was my place to. He sort of blew me off. I know he doesn't want to hear from me anymore, which is fine, but it makes it hard to tell if he's really over what happened to him or if he just doesn't want to talk about it with me. So... if you could just check up on him, I'd appreciate it.

I think he wants you to believe that. [...] Yes, well, that is possible. It doesn't matter, he doesn't read the anonymous post anyway. But whoever wrote those things... if they are not sorry now, they will be if I find them.

I already am, as best as I can. Wes is not exactly someone who needs a person like me fussing and worrying, but you know that I do look out for him.

Or so he says [...] You're sorta scary when you're mad.

[...]

I know you do. I just thought I oughta tell someone that I'd told him about it. I probably shouldn't have but whatever dragged him out of that tent must have been right there with me too and I just wanted

[...]

Anyway, that's all.

Oh, no, I would only have a stern talk with them. Really.

I know you are worried about him. I wish I could do more to reassure you.

How are you holding up?

Ah, yes, but your stern talks are sorta scary :)

You don't need to reassure me, honest. It's not like I'm laying up fretting over him. It just unsettled ME reading all that and I was just the one left in the tent. I didn't think it was right that ANYBODY should have to process that alone and I wasn't sure if you'd been reading or if he'd bother to bring it up with you. But I'm probably just being a baby.

I'm well. Honestly. How are YOU doing? I hear amortentia is a helluva drug.

I don't mind being sort of scary.

You are not being a baby. It worries me too. I don't know what it means, and I have never felt comfortable in the woods. But he is talking to me about it, so I hope that gives you some peace of mind.

Oh, it was just embarrassing. I got lucky. Kim was surprisingly understanding about the whole thing. There are other people I feel worse for.
