PATRONUS STUDY SESSION

Ms. Lilywhite has been teaching a section on casting Patronuses. Every year, she allows non-DADA students to attend extra study sessions she holds after dinner, because she believes a well-formed Patronus is an important life skill. It’s… not, probably, but who’s going to argue with her?

HOW THIS WORKS
If your character attends these sessions or takes DADA, they will at least learn what their patronus will be and will get a partial formation. The mods will roll to see if your character can cast a successful full-bodied patronus.

Occlumency students are presumed to already be well-versed with this spell, as it requires emotional control and self-awareness, which are invaluable skills in Occlumency, especially if you plan on becoming an Auror. Unless you choose otherwise, all Occlumency students automatically succeed, or can already cast the charm.

Occlumency students: Automatic success.
Seniors in DADA: 75% success.
Seniors not in DADA: 50% success.
Juniors in DADA: 65% success.
Juniors not in DADA: 40% success.
Sophomores in DADA: 55% success.
Sophomores not in DADA: 30% success.

Name: Ty Hawkeswood
Year: Senior
Patronus Form: Squirrel
Why?: Squirrels are nimble, quick, flexible, acrobatic, and adept climbers. So is Ty! Squirrels are energetic, playful, and bold. So is Ty! Squirrels are social and higly communicative. So is Ty! Squirrels can be annoying but are still pretty cute. So is Ty! This all makes sense...though, he really was hoping for a hawk.
Their happy memory: Being made the Coppertale cheer captain. Yes, he is still ecstatic about that!
Their attempt: While Ty isn't always a great student and wouldn't normally attend extra lessons, this one catches his attention. He's seen Rafael and Chris make a Patronus before and he wants in on that! He'll actually pay attention and try hard to get this right. He's also motivated by the fact that a wizard's Patronus often, according to what he's heard, matches the wizard's Animagus form and he's dying to know what his ~~could~~ will be.
Are they in DADA or Occlumency?: Noooope.
