Who: Tabitha Ogletree and OPEN
When: Saturday afternoon
Where: Just outside Ribbonfin, by the stream
What: Tabitha is tired of feeling sad.

Hunched over, her hands on her knees and her chin resting in the space between the two, Tabitha watched the water flow by like there was nothing else around her.

It wasn't until she started sniffling that she realised she'd been out there for a while now, probably longer than she should have. When the tear dropped onto the watch she was fumbling for, she realised she was actually crying and what she'd mistaken for sniffling was actually the tension of the past few weeks, all coming out at once.

I CAN'T BELIEVE NOBODY TAGGED THIS YET

Whenever Marilyn felt bad, whether it was in body or mind, she always found that going outside helped. She hadn't been a partier for long enough to build up the tolerance some of her classmates did, and the way she felt this morning was beyond anything she'd ever experienced after a party before. Naturally, this meant she needed to be outside.

Right?

Making her way through camp, she suddenly found herself by the stream. Marilyn had no real idea she'd walked this much, and was in the process of turning back actually, when she heard a noise. It sounded suspiciously like a sniffle, causing her to whirl around in concern. Spying Tabitha, her expression furrowed into a frown of concern.

"Tabitha? Are you alright?" her voice was gentle, as always, not wanting to startle her housemate.

The tears had flowed fully by the time Tabitha heard Marilyn's voice, and when the younger girl spoke to her, the hacking sound showed that her attempt to pull them back simply wasn't enough.

Realising her skin was cold to the touch, Tabitha tried to get up before Marilyn noticed how pale she was. Her movements were groggy and stumbling, though, and she just about managed to murmur that she was fine before she slipped on the bank of the stream.

Hearing those sobs broke Marilyn's heart, and she tried to hurry her footsteps a bit in order to get beside the older girl more quickly. It looked like Tabitha was standing up, and she really didn't want her to run off still feeling this upset.

It was this quickened pace that put her beside Tabitha when she started to stumble and slip, and Marilyn quickly reached out an arm in the hope of grabbing the other girl before she landed on her backside in the mud.

Fortunately for Tabitha and her dignity, Marilyn managed to catch her just in time. Steadying herself, breath heavy, her head was bowed as she gathered herself before speaking.

"Um, thanks" she told the younger girl, her voice thin with emotion.
