HOWDY FRIENDS, it's cameron again (sorry). this is mercedes estrada (her fam calls her merche but unless your character speaks spanish, they probably call her mercy) and she is an azurecrest senior. her entire concept was inspired this ACTUAL CONVERSATION i had on the bus:

classmate: ooooh, cam, how you doing, boo? how ARE you? (good.) did you have a good weekend? (yes.) what did you have for breakfast this morning? (coffee.) do you ever think about death?

so anyway. mercy! she thinks about death. she was born with a congenital heart defect that really spooked her rich & famous parents. they got super overprotective and so mercy's upbringing was a little bit secret garden eqsue — just her and her imagination and like, the constant reminder that She Might Die, lmfao. now, she's kinda morbid and also she never learned how to filter. prepare for some Invasive Personal Questions, y'all!

but! don't worry, there's no ulterior motive here. she's just friendly and warm and chatty and occasionally, bad at boundaries. if you have ever looked at mercy, she thinks you're her friend. she loves fun and adventure! meeting new people, trying new things! the power of positive thinking! grisly murders! she's on the cheer squad and the events committee.

her senior project is a miniature, magical model of tycho's supernova and the birth of the star tycho g, which is surprising to people b/c that is Challenging and she can come across as air-headed. people who don't know her that well probably think she's a ditz with great social skills, neither of which is true (altho she is admittedly Not Great at book learnings, so like, expect a spelling mistake or to too two on the journals).

mercy is from mexico city and lo fuckin siento in advance to any native spanish speakers here, b/c i used to be conversationally fluent, but now i've forgotten everything. i still know enough for the odd rp tag, i think? ojalá.
