Two Weeks of Pro Quidditch for the Price of One!
I was going to do like fancy pretty HTML for this but I've been stewing over it all week and that put me a week behind so you all get A SERVICEABLE BUT UNATTRACTIVE SPREADSHEET instead.
~Check Your Teams' Scores Here~
The most anticipated games in week one were Galesburg v. Drake Kill and Klamath v. Olympus. Although Galesburg put up a weak showing and only scored two goals to Drake Kill's thirty, the Klamath/Olympus game was evenly matched and a nail biter. Great Falls did unusually well in their first match of the season, forcing Sleepy Hollow to catch the snitch when they were 150 points down just to prevent their opponent from continuing to score. Commentators and fans alike wonder if the Gremlin's success was because the Horsemen are the only team with a worse track record than they are, or if they're really turning it around this season.
In week two, Drake Kill solidifies their lead with another curbstomp game, this time against Washington DC. They currently lead by a comfortable 90 points over Klamath. A second week of underperforming for Galesburg has more or less disqualified them from advancement, to the disappointment of their fans - they're currently in last place, behind Jeffersontown by 30 points. Saginaw lost their match against Belvedere, and were so unhappy about it that they tried to start a brawl on the pitch after the match ended, which was broken up by Belvedere's mascot, an elderly sasquatch.
Next Week: Sweetwater vs. Klamath! Drake Kill vs. Phoenix! The 12 teams who advance to phase 2 will be announced! And my post may even be formatted!
