Entry tags:! introduction, player: katie, player: rin

Hey gang! Katie and Rin here, bringing you two totally ridiculous twins: Gavin ([info]gavogletree) and Garrett ([info]garogletree) Ogletree! Introducing and plotting together made sense since these two are attached at the hip so here we go!

The younger brothers of Tabitha Ogletree, Gavin and Garrett are sophomores in different houses (Ebonhide and Coppertale respectively), but seem strikingly similar to acquaintances and friends alike. Both boys are outgoing, (outwardly) confident, friendly, charming, and playful in a way that sometimes crosses the line into being mischievous (especially for Gavin). They're both also competitive, hard-working attention-seekers and exceptionally gifted musicians that play multiple instruments. They're the sort of twins that seem to share everything: they look the same, they act the same, and they can read each other's moods just by sharing a glance and finish each other's sentences. They even have a ~creepy twin language~ that they frequently use in front of other people and on the journals. They spend most of their time together and they're even in all the same classes and clubs! Specifically:

Classes: History of Magic, Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, Outdoor Education. Artificing, Astronomy. Music.
Clubs: Outdoor Exploration. Boating. Fencing.

Despite this, there are differences between them and those that know them well are aware of this. Gavin is the dominant of the pair, simultaneously protective and caring and controlling when it comes to his brother. He is also the less responsible of the pair, more willing to push boundaries and break rules. While he seems like the stronger of the two in some ways, he struggles more with being alone and largely defines himself in terms of his brother. Garrett is more submissive; he typically allows Gavin to make decisions for both of them and defers to his brother's opinions. Though he does occasionally have rebellious impulses and wants to be more separate from his brother. He also has a more defined sense of right and wrong that has only become more pronounced since he became a prefect.

While the twins are very close, coming to Gooseberry has changed their relationship. One of Garrett's aforementioned rebellious impulses landed them in different houses, forcing them to spent more time apart than they ever have in their lives. Garrett becoming a prefect pushed an additional wedge between them, particularly because it put an end to the previously semi-common practice of trading places. While mostly just for fun and laughs and minor mischief, this was also done to help improve Garret's grades. Because of his undiagnosed dyslexia, he struggles with schoolwork and exams more than Gavin does and the two started switching places during tests periodically at a very young age to balance out their academics. Gavin thinks this is justified because the system doesn't know how to accommodate people like Garrett; Garrett has come to see it as cheating and has been taking the high road to his own degradation.

It's complicated.

Seeking!

Mutual friends! Gavin and Garrett are fairly popular and have a lot of friends, most of which are casual because their relationship with each other typically supersedes other close friendships. Because they're almost always together, it's hard to befriend one without the other. Potential exceptions to this include cabin mates and prefects, though others could be discussed.

Fellow musicians! Gavin and Garrett play a handful of instruments between them and if you're a musician, they want to jam with you. Either to make beautiful music or prove they're better than you? Either way.

Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!: Gavin and Garrett went to Ilvermorny and were in Thunderbird! Old friends are welcome~

Other stuff!! We're open to whatever and love to plot~ Hit us up.

US TOO~

Soooo, obviously, more connections for Garrett, but on Gavin's side!

Prefects in general get a little more scrutiny from him than other people (BECAUSE THEY ARE BROTHER THEIVES), but there may be enough things to like or find interesting about Rafael that it'll balance out. Also depends on how adorable and/or infuriating he finds them, I suppose!

Reid is Reid, yes. I don't imagine there's much overlap there. He's impressed with your flying and your spider monkey-ing, there, guy?

Diego...yeah, they could've gotten along very well, but cheating on Tabitha botched that right up. I doubt that Gavin or Garrett get in his face about it, but there's a definite undercurrent of dislike there. They'll come to your parties and drink your booze and encourage your shenanigans, Diego, but they don't like you. :| He is going to kick your ass at the clarinet!

I don't imagine that the twins had much of a problem with Calvin's prickly attitude; they probably just kind of lol'ed and let it roll off of them and were still pretty friendly toward him. Unless he was actually insulting one or the other of them directly. Then it's on. But I don't imagine that being an issue. So maybe decent relationship but not exactly friends?
