MEME: Dog Breeds

My favourite game to play at the bar is "What breed of dog would you be?" where I determine what breed of dog my friends would be based on my comprehensive and pointless knowledge of everything canine. Real people are not enough and I'm mad with power, so I want to do this for your characters! And, like, other people can also give input. I guess.

Yes, this meme is completely self-indulgent.

Fill out the form and I'll tell you what kind of dog I think they would be if they were a dog! WIN-WIN. (I'll post an example with Kurt.) Disclaimer: Most of these will probably be bigger dog breeds because they're what I know best. Sorry not sorry for the bias, big dogs are the bomb.

Social Disposition: Shy extrovert; outgoing and loves talking to people, but hates being at the centre of attention. Ravi's very friendly, but fairly controlled. Tries hard to seem kind, responsible, moral, trustworthy to others; overly self-conscious about how people see him. Driven to do what's right, even if it makes him seem uptight or no fun. With friends, he loosens up quite a bit; he has a goofy sense of humour and likes to tease people. Has a large circle of people he considers "close friends," but only a handful he'd honestly admit his flaws and worries to.
Independence: Wants to be the person others lean on, never wants to lean on others. Hates revealing to others when he's sad/upset/angry. Always willing to do things on his own and won't ask for help, but happy to accept help/company if it's offered.
Loyalty: Dependable. Secretly fiercely loyal. Dislikes fighting and conflict, but will come out fighting for the people he considers under his protection (which is a lot of people, honestly). His loyalty is easily won and he's very forgiving, but he never forgets when someone hurt his friends in the past.
New Situations: Adventurous on the inside, but extremely cautious on the outside. Ravi loves trying new things but he'll often say no when the opportunity is offered. Doesn't like to break rules or take risks. Wants to know all the pros and cons.
Energy/Play: Cheerful disposition, usually seems pretty calm and controlled. Not fidgety at all. When he's feeling playful, he likes to tease people while pretending that he's being very sober and serious.
Fears: Previously his biggest fear was not knowing what he's doing, which he responded to by planning the next ten years of life in scary detail. However, now that he's staring graduation in the face, his fear is being trapped, and he's been responding to that by having a quiet mental breakdown and pretending that he is not freaking out about it.
Environment: a) A three-hour LARP session with intense story and character development. b) Reading a good book in a place where he's surrounded by other people.
Mantra: "I'm Fine. This Is Fine." or "I have a plan, I know what I'm doing."
Other: I wish I had a dog. :((( Everyone please tell your dogs that I love them. :(((((

Ravi is a Bernese Mountain Dog!
- Calm disposition, gentle towards others.
- Very affectionate to their closest pack members and so good to snuggle into look at all that fur omggg.
- Not very high energy.
- The best way to deal with a Berner is to be kind to it, but it isn't going to stand up to being constantly pushed around.
- In new situations, Berners tend to maintain a certain poise regardless of if it seems like it's going to have a good or a bad time.

STORY TIME~ a few years ago I was in Switzerland and I was having a beer in Mürren, which is in the Bernese Oberland. I saw a Bernese mountain dog and at first I was like "cuuuuute!!" and then I realized I was sitting in the Bernese mountains looking at a REAL LIVE BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG and in conclusion it was one of the highlights of my entire trip.

	THEY ARE GLORIOUS FLUFFOS!! i highly highly HIGHLY recommend switzerland for literally anybody that can make it work. the place i was staying (lauterbrunnen) is literally rivendell. (Reply to this) (Parent)
