MEME: Dog Breeds

My favourite game to play at the bar is "What breed of dog would you be?" where I determine what breed of dog my friends would be based on my comprehensive and pointless knowledge of everything canine. Real people are not enough and I'm mad with power, so I want to do this for your characters! And, like, other people can also give input. I guess.

Yes, this meme is completely self-indulgent.

Fill out the form and I'll tell you what kind of dog I think they would be if they were a dog! WIN-WIN. (I'll post an example with Kurt.) Disclaimer: Most of these will probably be bigger dog breeds because they're what I know best. Sorry not sorry for the bias, big dogs are the bomb.

Social Disposition: Sylla is slow to truly warm up to people by default, and can come across as distant and dreamy and wrapped up in her own world. To friends and when in a situation she greatly enjoys, she is enthusiastic and cheery, even when said situation may not exactly call for it. She takes a long time to make friends, having been in a support group of her family for so long, and the Borgins are known for being very secretive and only relying on one another. She is only truly close to those she lives with, and while she can make small talk and conversation to others, that strong vein of English social awkwardness can rear its head.
Independence: With her family, Sylla is needy to the point of codependent. When away from them and by herself, she is stubbornly independent and insists she never needs help with anything, and can handle anything life throws at her, even if just to prove a point that teeny tiny little English girls can be just as fierce and powerful as the strongest man. She does like helping others, if only to prove to herself that she can, and to prove herself capable and strong.
Loyalty: Her only true loyalty is to her family, second to seeking the best for her house. She can be very clannish, but when tested, sees no problem in dealing with grey areas. It's a Borgin thing.
New Situations: With zero chill in needing to analyze and investigate everything about it before she throws herself in. Once she has reviewed the situation to the best of her abilities, she often gets really intense and needs to give it her all (hence signing up for a red badge in hockey.)
Energy/Play: Mostly stoic and calm, prim and cool and collected, but when dueling or doing something she enjoys, can be cheery and grinny and giggly. She's very selective and has high standards, but loves what she loves, and hates what she hates. There's no middle ground.
Fears: Losing her family, disappointing her parents, failing at something she has invested so much time in. She gets withdrawn and stuck in her own little world when she is fearful, pouty and stubborn and angry at herself, but insists nothing is wrong to others because it's so impolite to trouble others with your own problems. Repressed.
Environment: Happiest at home with her mummy and daddy and siblings, but otherwise enjoys watching sports, practicing her dueling skills, enjoys walking outdoors by herself with her own thoughts, or reading and studying in her own little nest of a bed in her dorm.
Mantra: "Show, don't tell." But in Latin or Ancient Greek or something.
Other: Despite having a cat for the first time this year, Sylla has always wanted a dog, but wants the biggest strongest dog she could have. Preferably a massive hunting dog. Because what's the point of having a dog that isn't gigantic. Anything else is a cat in her (and Ron Swanson's) opinion. Obviously her father has turned this idea down because he is not giving her a massive dog that is twice her size. IDK MAN THIS IS WEIRD HEADCANON BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS.

Sylla is an Irish Wolfhound! (Giant hunting dogs, yay!)
- The Irish Wolfhound is kind of a paradox (lol pair of dogs): it's bred to be independent in both temperament and action, yet it attaches itself extremely strongly to its closest pack members.
- Maybe don't separate a Wolfhound from its loved ones for too long — it can become destructive if lonely.
- Loud and boisterous but is capable of being goofier around its favoured humans.
- Dignified and calm, even around family.
- Alert but not aggressive.
