Hi guys!! It's Lyss again WITH A THIRD FINALLY. I have Addy adorbs and Leo challenge AND I have the sinking feeling I missed a couple intros over the week so if you want plot with them just point me :(

But we're really here for Ferdinand Ayers! He's from Lake Forest IL and went to the McGilliguddy Institute in Chicago, which is kind of like a nice k-8 wizard day school designed to ship kids to Ilvermorny. I like making up schools. He's a Ribbonfin Junior Prefect in Divination, Herbology, Hermeticism, Transfiguration, Magizoology, Artificing and clubs including Drama (crew), Choir, Gaming, Boating, and Archery.

You probably know who Ferdinand's mom is, if you are a MACUSA family or just in tune with politics over the last 20 years. Eileen Nielsen was a reporter for the New York Oracle and won lots of awards for her work covering MACUSA during Britain's Voldemort Problem. She was fired later, though, when it was discovered she had been stealing information and bugging sources the whole time. It was a big scandal. Pardon me while I shamelessly invent MACUSA history, sorryyy. Anyway, she ran off with her family to Chicagoland. Theodore, her husband, writes historical fiction novels. As a result, Ferdinand REALLY HATES LITERATURE with a weird passion. More on that later.

Eileen raised Ferdinand to be really scared of the aftershocks and people judging her own behavior. He was extraordinarily sheltered, and was strongly discouraged from having friends, lest their parents hate her. There were a lot of adults in his life, but hardly anyone his own age, so he grew up mature. When he was old enough to be thoroughly sick of all of this, he made friends anyway and was rebellious (lol) by joining all the after school activities he could. He was also rebellious by basically insisting on Gooseberry. Yes, he needs to learn what rebelling is.

When he came to Gooseberry he was an anxious mess who thought his mom would go to jail someday after all. He has aged well into a much more rational being who is still deeply, deeply grateful for the chance to be so far away from a home he mostly associates with being trapped. He takes every advantage of the school, but doesn't brag or try to be best at anything. He loves shopping around for specialties and has found a happy spot in classes that celebrate his love for detail and logic. He bizarrely refuses to take any creative/writing class or extra curricular because he associates these with his parents. As a prefect, he definitely falls into the peacemaker role more easily than anything else, and isn't scared to logic people out of feeling bad. That totally works. He does have a harder line than some expect, though, and it's not easy to take advantage of him. But feel free to try,he guesses. Overall he is kind but not a pushover, smart but not a show-off, with a very stubborn streak and a quiet sense of humor.

He needs friends and people who have been affected by his mom, and people who like him anyway and people who don't, and god just everything.

LYSS I AM SO BEHIND ON INTROS~~~~~ BUT URSULA LOVES ALL THE JUNIOR RIBBONBOYS. (And she's in Div with Ferdie and Ennis.) AND ESSIE LOVES HIS FACE~~~~~~~

IDK more thoughtful comment is that Ursula is probably pretty impressed with his mom being so cutthroat. Ursula is also pretty overbearing so idk how much she'll let him Dad her, but WE'LL SEE.

And uhm Sun-mi thinks you're all such better prefects than she is. And.. Jacob knows who you are and probably has read something your Dad wrote. :|

LOL I know I missed some I'm so ashamed it's so sad.

He will like Ursula and not dad her unless she wants USUALLY. Unless he thinks she has earned it aka rule breaking fun times aka now.
He hopes she does not compliment his mom in his presence because his eye roll would be spectacular.

He thinks Sun-mi is a good prefect too tyvm and Essie is adorable and will be friendly enough to Jacob and forever avoid talking about what his parents wrote, yikes

Reece's mom is the Chief of Staff to the NY MACUSA rep. IDK exactly what she was doing 20 years ago, but she was definitely work in wizard politics in NY, so their moms can definitely have tangled. It'd be kind of funny if their moms were like, ENEMIES and they were buds, but they could also have a contentious relationship if that's something you're looking for! And they're prefects together so there's that.

Clementine is probably in classes w him since they're juniors but they probably don't interact much besides that?

Ivy's a Ribbonfin and she hates disappointing all y'all prefects PLEASE IGNORE THE SLEDDING DEBACLE she's a good egg :(

Aaand Ari's not in his house or year. They're in choir together? But that's it

	I like the idea of them being friends yeah! Even if Reece's mom trash talks his mom I doubt she'd like... trash a kid lmao. She probably doesn't LOVE that Reece is friends with him though. For their moms, Ferdie's mom can either have bugged Reece's mom maybe? Or they could've been talking off the record and she used that if that's something she'd do? Whatever works! Ravi has totally read writings by both of Ferdie's parents. He is totally a fan of Theodore's books and has read way too many in the series despite now being 17 and supposedly out of the age range of the series. I'm not sure he'd know the history with Ferdie's mom, but if he does, he wouldn't hold it against Ferdie. AND THEY'RE BOTH RIBBONFIN PREFECTS so I imagine Ravi thinks Ferdie is very bright and trustworthy, and he's just really appreciative that both Ferdie and Rosy aren't pushovers? YOU'RE SUCH GOOD KIDS. Ravi's the embarrassing senior dad to the junior mom and dad and he needs to get you both something for Christmas. ;A;

AND SY IS MY ONLY JUNIOR and twin to Ferdie's counterpart. Um I like to imagine Sy gives Ferdie shit just for the fact that he's Rosy's friend and fellow prefect. Whether this is really aggressive giving shit or just sort of playfully aggressive giving shit, we might have to just see how to bounce off each other in game. Obv feel free to say that Ferdie's had to tell Sy off in the past when Sy's done shit like... I don't know, shoved Kurt into a locker.

He will totally look up to Ravi as senior dad !If he knew he read his dad's books he will sneak him the latest one every time,who cares if they're middle schooly.

Hmmm well yes he would have to Give Sy Talks about breaking rules duh, but I don't think he would have an Automatically Big Problem with him. He's Rosy's twin, therefore probably good by association. But yessss we will have to talk around in game!!

Vic I don't think would know him very well, except they have archery together. So probably not much there.

Anuhea is in his house and thinks he's an adorable little day <3 She thinks he's very sweet. They will definitely be friendly I hope!

Lachlan is in the same year and is in clubs with him, so they should be pals because Lach honestly just likes making friends so. Yeah haha. Sorry if he doesn't like hugs!

my very very first thought is that wilde is from chicago too so THEY SHOULD TOTALLY HAVE SOME KIND OF CONNECTION even tho he wasn't allowed to hang w kids ;-; plus they're in archery together and a handful of classes idk

zoey is in his house, also interested in divination, etc
she would absolutely know of his mother (she too is from a MACUSA family) and find her a super important figure, but idk how much it would actually come up

he'd run into laurel in drama and gaming a lot!

Garrett is a MACUSA family who has probs heard of Ferdinand's mom? I'll leave it to Heather to tell me how/if their family was affected by Ferdinand's mom since I'm new and still feeling my way around the Ogletree family history :) BUT Garrett at least knows OF him and will be polite.

Bae is also a junior and probs has never heard of his parents, but she might know him from a few classes and think he's a cool dude. She loves anxious messes, they're so funny, so she probs would have talked to him a lot because she — talks to everyone a lot and butts into their conversations. So... they could be friends if Ferdie can deal with that nonsense, or not if he can't. She will talk to him a lot REGARDLESS

FERDIE IS SUPER CUTE.

So, Reid's in his year, and he's.... awkward. He's friends with the Stokers, but I imagine he has a good opinion of Ferdie. He's also friends with Ferdie's roommates, so they could be on friendly terms too?

Kenzie is also in his year, and she's gonna hassle him. ♥

Rafael is a fellow prefect, and probably appreciates how good and responsible Ferdie is. RIBBONFIN HAS SOME GOOD PREFECTS. RAFAEL LOVES YOU GUYS. Rafael's father is a notable, high ranking politician.... in Mexico. IDK if it'd be a stretch to say Ferdie's mom had anything to do with him, but he definitely has a complex and troubled relationship with the press.

Calvin is a little Ribbonfin, and later year he was meeeeean but not so much anymore. Ferdie had to probably get on his case fairly often back in the day.

Aaaand Diego might not interact with him much~

MOST IMPORTANTLY: KURT. ROOMIE. PAL. WHOO. kurt's dad is a MACUSA spin doctor so I SENSE SOME ANIMOSITY BETWEEN PARENTS but i figure somewhere in the beginning of freshman year kurt and ferd, both nervous wrecks, could have been like "hey this sucks let's be nervous wrecks together?" kurt will never make trouble for ferd as a prefect ~~except for that one time when he joined mud fight club~~ and sometimes probably needs him to logic him out of a worry spiral. they should be close dudes.

casey will likely push back against ferd's stubborn streak.

quinn's a fellow prefect and probably just thinks he's a cool dude

I think I got it. Jesse and Wes, junior year, having one of their many 'conversations' about what the band should be called, because Wes UNDERSTANDABLY refuses to continue playing in a band called Jesse & The Jizz Stains...

This is probably a fairly loud and crass conversation on Jesse's end and Ferdinand kindly asks him to keep it PG in front of the kids, to which Jesse responds, "Fuck Ferdinand. Now THATS a good band name."

It was probably a short lived name. Sorry, Ferdie.

ENNIS NEEDS HIS GUIDANCE AND SOUND LOGIC. Also, they're in Divination, magizoology, transfiguration, and gaming club together. Three of the roomies are in Divination anddd Ennis is super into it. He'd practice outside of class if Ferdie wanted.

Maggie's mom is basically second-in-command of Canada's MoM and was probably PRIVATELY RELIEVED she dodged the Eileen Nielsen bullet. So Maggie probably knows about his mom's scandal since her mom probably references it every now and then as a cautionary tale?

Andd I cna't think of anything specific for Levi, but he gets along with most everyone so I'm not worried.
