Obligatory Awkward Intro of the year goes to....
Hi Guys!

It's been a while since i've done one of these, so if i'm super awkward bear with me. I promise I get better with time. Anyways, you can call me Oddy. Roz introduced me to the game concept and I was sold once she got to American Wizarding School so I just had to take a break from my break ~~because muses get loud when they're persistent.~~

Basics about me: I'm 25, currently attending college for a computer science degree (so you'll probably hear me squee about technology at one point if/when we talk outside of game) and I get super awkward in new places ~~(obviously)~~. I've been RPing on and off for the last... oh ... lets just say I've been around since the days of AIM rps. Currently my fandoms include a great many things that I'm horribly outdated on but I'm cool about spoilers.

Also just a small note, but I'm not allowed to take on anymore characters until after December, when this semester ends. So mods, if you could do me a favor and help me keep that promise to myself I'd appreciate it (because I'll no doubt get more muses as time goes on).

ANYWAY. ONTO THE IMPORTANT STUFF.

I bring you Roxanne Barringer (but call her Roxie, the only people who actually use her full name are her grandfather and mother. sometimes her dad if the conversation is a serious subject matter).

She's a half blood who hails from Los Angelus, CA . She grew up in the muggle world hearing stories about the Wizarding World from her mother. Her father is a stage magician (muggle magic, not the "real" kind) and her mother is a pureblood. The family currently lives in the hotel where her father performs under a sort of Employee Discount. Basically, they're a close knit family of con artists. Cross one, and you cross the whole lot.

Roxanne is the only other family member who is a witch. Her grandfather is sponsoring her education in the hopes of producing someone he can proudly call heir. She puts a lot of pressure on herself because of this and nearly everything she's active in is to further her chance of procuring the wealth that he's offered.

Most people probably see Roxanne as a friendly, amiable, approachable person but she's quick to twist things to her advantage. She's a bit of a loud mouth, who hates losing. At this point in her education, she's probably too preoccupied to deal with new people on the chess board.

She sings, but it's her money-maker not her passion. She's performed on stage at the hotel where her family lives before, and it's definitely something she cultivates because a girl's gotta eat right? That said, Quidditch is the one thing she does for herself, for the sheer fun of it.

She's extremely passionate about Quidditch and is taking the recent loss pretty hard. Which really translates to staying out as late as possible for her own, independent training (which she'll likely drag her partner into at some point).

She's running on empty fumes at this point, so between classes, Quidditch Practice and Choir, if you see her without caffeine it's going to be ugly.

It should be noted that Roxanne tried out for Quidditch every year, at first trying to snag the spot of Seeker, then eventually landing a spot as a Beater.

Plotwise, there's a couple of things i'm interested in.

SY: I really feel like these two would have met at some point before Gooseberry high. And if you're cool with it, I can totally see a frenemies sort of thing happening here because they have potential for a really interesting dynamic.

CHRIS: Roxie's probably pestering you to join her after Quidditch practice, so that'll be fun. She's really hard to scare away (something both Sy and Chris have probably seen throughout their time at Gooseberry). Other details can be sorted out I'm sure. I'm game for just about anything, so if you have any particulars, let me know!

hi, i'm kas! welcome! i have two characters and totally understand your self-limit since i told myself "no second for a month," and now, "no third for... more... than a month." i'm holding on. there's hope.

quinn cunningham is a senior azurcrest and self-declared honourary coppertale (like, if azurcrest isn't playing she has a special hat and screams herself hoarse.) she's also an azurcrest reserve, possibly the only person to ever get bumped down to reserve. she'd admire roxie's chutzpah and, uh, bloodlust. quinn is brutal on the pitch. but she's also a nice girl with a biting sense of humour, and if roxie's bugged chris about quidditch, chances are roxie's definitely seen quinn around since she and chris are pretty close.

kurt wolfhart (

lovekurts) is roxie's year and ribbonfin. they're in OE together. he's a timid guy with a stutter who loves animals, hates violence, and is working on improving his social skills. i'm not sure how he and roxie would get along — what do you think? regardless of how he feels about people, he tends to try and cheerlead them on the journals.

Hiya Kas! Yeah, I'm prone to making bad adult decisions but I miss games like these so... -shrugs- #worthit? lol.

Roxie probably enjoys Quinn's company during study hours, and Quinn is likely a good influence during play hours so I see them getting along pretty well. She'd especially appreciate the special hat and would TOTALLY cooperate with Quinn's honorary Coppertale status. Roxie doesn't mind if Quinn wants to join the before and after hours "practice" she'll be dragging Chris to -- so long as Quinn can keep up lol.

RE: Kurt. Roxie prolly sees him as an easy target and doesn't have much time for him except when they're potentially paired for projects. She'd admire his honesty but feels that the real world would eat him for a snack. If anything, she might try to toughen him up a bit, but given her work current work load that's not exactly high on her priorities.

HELLO! I'M ALEX, and i have 4 characters because what is wrong with me. BUT, in order of probable relevance:

Rosemary Stoker (

rosmarinus) is Sy's twin sister! So if she knew Sy before Goose, she totally knew Rosy. She's a Ribbonfin and prefect, and she's snarky and momfriendy and unreasonably competitive but trying VERY HARD TO BE CHILL (she's doing a terrible job of being chill). THERE COULD BE THINGS.

Riley Stamper (this journal) is a catty little ditz in the same year and cheerleader for Azurcrest! They have practically no classes together, but Riley is gay as hell and flirts with everyone. Hey cutie. :*

Robin Youngblood (

hanshotfirst) is a Coppertale senior and conspiracy theorist. He is ridiculous. He yells a lot, thinks he's really funny, and is a terrible friend to Chris.

AND Nathaniel Bird (

flyover) who is a senior Ebonhide Prefect and probably busy studying. HE DOESN'T GET OUT MUCH.

	He's literally my favorite coppertail at this point, and this is coming from someone who plays two (Chris is my second favorite because I get to be bias). RE: Rosemary. DUDE. It'd be awesome if they all three had this thing where they're friends because their respective elders approved of the networking but secretly mostly started out hating each other and then kinda just grew to respect each other. I feel less a frenemies thing with Rosemary, and more an actual friendship? I dunno, up to you but I do feel that Roxie would've invited Rosemary to one of her shows and that the rest of her family would have ADORED Rosemary (Roxie's brother, in particular probably thought of her as a secondary sister).

RE: Riley. I feel Riley would totally bring up Roxie's girl-crush tendencies and confuse the hell out of her sexuality but it'd be hilarious and she'd enjoy a good flirt regardless.

Re Robin: Hm... As of the moment, Roxie's neutral about Robin but will probably complain to Chris about his terrible choice in friends a lot. Haha.

She's neutral about Nathaniel but who knows, they might stumble on something together? I'm not sure. Up to you!

Hey Oddy! :) I'm Meggie, one of the mods. Welcome to the game! I'll try not to be a horrible enabler about more characters. ♥ I have four characters in descending order of relevance.

Reid Wainwright (this journal) is on the Coppertale Quidditch team with Roxie, and they're in the same year too. Reid is an ice prince, but Roxie will know that he's actually just awwwwwkwaaaaaaaaard. He has a really hard time articulating himself or understanding people, and he's really emotionally stilted. He loves the team, though, so Roxie's a default friend.

Rafael Ramirez (

firstposition) is a strict senior prefect in Coppertale. He'll probably like Roxie most of the time, but if he catchers her trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, he'll be quick to lay down the law. In general, he's outgoing, poised, kind, and likes to joke around, but he's also authoritative and a control freak.

Diego Morales (

morale) is a pureblood senior Azurcrest musician. Music is 100% his passion. He's in Choir with her, and he's a staple of the music room. He has a pretty voice, but it's better suited for his chosen genre of folk than for choir. Chances are he ends up drowned out in most performances. He's a very friendly ditz who is desperate to be loved. Fun but high maintenance, thoughtful but dangerously impulsive. He's sure to be warm with Roxie, and he's easy to manipulate if she can figure out his buttons. It's somewhat common knowledge he cheated on his girlfriend, Tabitha Ogletree, last year.

Calvin Evercreech (

firstposition) is a sophomore Ribbonfin exchange student from hogwarts. Calvin's also in Choir with Roxie, but they probably won't talk much outside of it. He's prickly and has a very bad attitude, but he's an academic whiz kid. Last year he was extremely unpleasant, but this year he's eased up a lot and is trying to be a better person. Success is hit and miss. He's a regular target of Sylvester Stoker's bullying, and tends to default distrust Coppertales, especially ones who are at all friendly with Sy.

Re: Reid. Roxie's really hard to scare away anyway, and was likely seeing him as her one competition during try outs. So he probably didn't phase her on that end, mostly just annoyed her with the fact that he made the team before she did. She'll take that personally. But she puts up with him because he's a teammate and he probably motivates her to train harder when it comes to Quidditch.

Re: Rafael: Roxie will be on her best behavior around him but secretly hates his authority-complex and probably tries to get him to loosen up a bit.

Diego: She probably keeps in her pocket just in case because easily manipulated people are useful. She'll end up getting him into trouble probably.

Calvin: Prickly and bad attitudes don't phase Roxy, but she doesn't really have much use for him. Maybe they end up having to work on a duet with each other at one point? Either way, Roxy wouldn't like the way he deals or talks to her team captain, so she'd butt heads with Calvin for sure. Which could be fun to play out.

I only have the one character, Cressida Quayle, but everyone calls her Cricket. She's a Senior Ebonhide prefect and resident busy body. She likes to pretend she is all sunshine and sweetness and Southern charm, but really she is very neurotic and handles aggression/noise/people not listening to her very poorly. She's in OE with Roxie. Any information that Roxie has ever exposed to Cricket, best believe she has squirreled away for a rainy day. That's all I got!

i play two characters in this lovely game

Zoey Valentine, this journal, who is a ribbonfin senior. calm, friendly, frankly super ribbonfinny w some sprinkles of rebellion. she plays chaser for her team, is in a band w a couple of azurcrests, super super good at potions, kinda brainy, annnnnnd also a wannabe seer (much to the dissatisfaction of her mother). most recently she's been falling back into some overworking tendencies & getting quietly disillusioned w things ;-; she and roxanne have quidditch in common, so there's that! i actually feel like they could commiserate about a lot of things, so we'll have to throw them together. ♥

annnnd then there's Laurel Templeton,

laaurel -- she's an azurcrest senior, super into drama & theatre & costumes and clothing charms, dancer, nerdy lil bookworm. she's kinda just a silly, straightforward, cheery type who thinks everything is funny and has a hard time taking anything seriously except her sincere interests. she also has an identical twin in ribbonfin, which is fun. c': she and roxanne actually aren't in any extracurriculars together, but i feel like they'd know eachother/have taken notice of eachother in various ways -- probably related to stage stuff, tho laurel is more of a dancer/kind-of-okay-actor than a singer. :D

Re: Zoey: I really like the idea of them being a sort of friends in passing sort of relationship that is working towards an actual friendship. There could definitely be some comeradery. Maybe they help each other keep a steady supply of Caffeine in their system? lol.

Re: Laurel: Laurel's positive attitude will likely remind Roxy of the crush she had before attending Gooseberry and also stirr up some heart-fluttering feelings that confuse Roxy (much like Riley but in a more sexual sort of way if that makes sense). Nothing has to come of it, but it would definitely lead to Roxy taking notice of Laurel and cheering Laurel on during performances.

Hello! I'm Lyss and I have two here!

This one is Adeline Foster-Hayes, but you can call her Addy because Adeline is a name for losers. She's an Azurcrest junior/human disaster who is good at potions, using chatspeak in journals, going to parties, making eggs drop from buildings, and loving people but not much else. She's in Outdoor Education and Potions with Roxie I think! Her parents have a kind of similar background; her dad's a Muggle and her mom's a halfblood, but the fancy kind! So she would like Roxie honestly just for that? And would be pretty friendly in general.

And then I also have Leonardo Fiori aka

challenge, who is an Ebonhide senior, Quidditch Captain/Beater, and beat your team at Quidditch last week, SORRY ROXIE. He's from an Italian family in NJ and is very much the runt/oops baby at the tail end of three other very competent siblings. He's competitive as ffff but he likes it when his competitors are actually competitive and shows a weird amount of respect to them, when they're done. But this could totally just be them hating each other, or doing weird nods of sportsmanship when they aren't flinging bludgers around.

Roxie would be amiable towards Addy, and she'd definitely appreciate the skill in potions. Roxie's roots are firmly in the muggle world, but she's enjoying the Wizarding World a lot. She'd be put off by Addy's privilege but she wouldn't vocalize that until Addy got annoying -- which I doubt happens very often.

Re; Leonardo. I see Roxie being VERY combative with him. She'll probably taunt him a lot during games and stuff but in a friendly banter sort of way. I feel like they could be really fun with bantering and egging each other on.

Hey there! Any friend of Roz is a friend of mine, since she got me here too. :) I'm Callie, btw lol I have three here ~~so far~~, so let's get to it!

This is Ryan Hertz. He's Chris' bestie, and an Azurcrest senior. Basically his dad had an affair with a witch who left Ryan on his doorstep. When his powers developed, his dad thought he was a demon and evil and wrong so basically emotional and physical abuse started happening. Ryan actually believed there was something wrong until he met Chris when he moved to Boston (from Versailles, France). They're besties now, and Chris' mom basically unofficially adopted Ryan since he hid out over there so much. Anyway, he found out his mom was in Azkaban for helping You Know Who, so Ryan seeks to pretend to be...well, not the doom cookie he is. He's sarcastic, he's a bit of a shut-in for an Azurcrest, he doesn't think he deserves good things, etc. But he's also charming despite how awkward and "bad boy mysterious" he portrays. He isn't huge into Quidditch but he'll still be nice to Roxie. If you have any more specifics, I'm open!

Next is Veronica Powers [

misssperfect] She's a Junior Ebonhide and the cheerleading captain. She's basically Susie Highschool. She's an overachiever who feels like she has to be ON all the time. In all clubs, in all classes, doing well in everything, etc. She would be insufferable if she wasn't so damn NICE (though please, if Roxi would find her insufferable, don't hesitate!) She'll be nice to Roxie.

The most important I saved for last! Susana Velasquez [

gottaplay] She's a Coppertale sophomore, and is OBSESSED with Quidditch. I think she'd get along well with Roxie, if you agree. Ana's family kind of treated her like the unwanted extra, because she kind of was, so she was ignored most of her life. Or told what to do to be a proper upper class witch. Quidditch was the one place she excelled and was noticed, and it's the one thing she does for herself. Ana can be a bit prickly, with an attitude, but she's really an insecure girl underneath. And a nice one when she wants to be. The recent loss hit her hard (no pun intended) too.

Hiya Callie! Roz is pretty awesome to have around. <3 I hope you don't mind but i added your email to my contacts. If you get a strange testing...testing sent your messenger that was me.

I feel like Roxie would have the most interaction with Ryan mostly via Chris. Roxie deals with sarcastic smart asses pretty well (probably why she gets along with Chris so well lol). Aside from that, I'm sure they greet each other in passing and are amiable towards each other with Roxie being more genuine on her part than she is with most people.

Veronica would probably get on Roxie's nerves TBH. As nice as she is, she'll seem to have done everything Roxie is struggling to do and look so perfect doing it. If she's the type of person who makes everything look easy, Roxie's probably suspicious and looking for Veronica's weaknesses. She doesn't like to be outshines much lol.

Roxie has trouble with people who come from privilege, but once Ana showed that she wasn't "one of those girls" I'm sure they would have built a bit of a comradely and especially since Ana is on the team, Roxie might even take Ana under her wing and have started to show some of the tricks of the family trade if that's a relationship you're interested in exploring. Either way, Roxie would definitely be a bit protective of Susana at this point.

Hello there! I'm Emma and I have three currently.

First off is this one, Trixie Armstrong a senior Coppertale cheerleader who is pretty much determined to take over the world with a series of ever more complicated contraptions.

catseyenebula Katya Ivanova, a Russian Azurcrest junior prefect who pretty much eats and smiles at people.

tinyrebel Hayley Ferris is an Ebonhide sophomore who just wants to shoot things and is in that 'I'm gonna rebel against everything' phase.

I feel like I should say more but that's really pretty much what those three are about and they will all mostly talk to anyone. Except Ferris. Ferris is weird.

Hi Emma! Sorry it took so long to write back to you, things got kinda hectic for me. Roxie rolls her eyes at most rebel-types, so she probably¥ doesn't go out of her way to interact with Hayley.

Trixie and Katya are probably amusing to Roxie, but again, I don't see them interacting too much out side of clubs and classes (if they take any together). haha. if you have something you wanna use Roxie for, definitely let me know though. I'm game for just about anything. :D

Hi Oddy! I'm Heather, I'm 31, a teacher and one of the game's resident Brits. I am also a writer of long intros if not squished immediately. XD

I have one character who will have links for you, and four for whom links will probably be tenuous.

Dominic is obviously a house and yearmate, as well as prefect, and he is on the Cheer Squad while she is on the team. Lots of links there! His main preoccupation now is trying to avoid strangling Sy tbh.

I also have Tabitha Ogletree (Ribbonfin Senior, Cheer Captain), Joanna May (Ebonhide Sophomore, Prefect) and Will Chase (Azurcrest Sophomore, adorable wee thing in residence).

Anyway, sorry about taking so long to get back to you. Roxie is neutral about cheer squad except for those in her house (lol bias, yes she is) so she probably has a sense of camaraderie with Dominic but over all, she mostly shows her surface personality; amiable and friendly.

Hello Oddy! I am Sara and I'm another one of those with too many characters.

I'll save the MOST RELEVANT for last.

This here is Ree Hobbs. She is an Azurcrest sophomore, prefect, Quidditch beater (SUP GIRL,) and general busybody/too outgoing for anyone's good/shameless person. Her passion is ~art~ so don't expect to see her without pigment of one kind or another on her person. She dyes her hair crazy colors and gets into everyone's business and flirts with nearly everyone constantly. She is pursuing/being pursued by/making out with/ something Dom, so idk that might make her more familiar to the Junior Coppertales? If she's not familiar on her own because did I mention girl is into everything?

Isaiah Covington

icovington is a senior ribbonfin who spends most of his time hiding in the music room. Roxie may know him because he's the student accompanist to choir (and totes available for assisting in solo practice or whatever, which sounds like a euphemism but isn't.) He's a pureblood so maaaaybe his family knows her mum? idk.

Gabriela Flores

gabiflor is a sophomore ribbonfin/human-shaped kitten. She's in choir and is a cheerleader but sadly i do not see much overlap here. She's Guatemalan and owns a chinchilla.

sairaza who is Roxie's roommate. She's basically Hermione with less saving the world and more occlumency. She likes to study. A lot. And SORRY ROXIE but she is the reason that the rule in their cabin is ABSOLUTELY NO BOYS EVER. She's kind of intense? But she understands running on fumes VERY well, so there's that.

so Roxie's mother tends to stay out of sight out of mind when it comes to the Wizarding World, but her grandfather would definitely make himself known to influential circles. As far as what that means to Isaiah, that's totally up to you! I do feel that he would remind her of her mother with the hiding behind hobbies thing. So if they do meet, Roxie would instinctively find herself protective of him.

Re; Saira: Roxie somehow doesn't mind the no boys rule (she's more inclined to make that mistake with females than with a boy haha) but I feel that Roxie keeps a steady stock of caffeine available -- and ready to share with any of her housemates / roommates. As long as they don't take the last one. Roxie doesn't understand LIKING to study so that probably confuses her. But she likely goes to Saira when stuck on an assignment. They can be study buddies if you want.

Hi Oddy, welcome to the game! I'm Josie and I have three here:

First up is Pippa Nightingale, a Ribbonfin sophomore and Hogwarts exchange student new to Gooseberry this year. She's a naive but sweet little vegan who gets excited about ALL THE THINGS and will talk to pretty much anyone on the journals, and she's also in Choir with Roxie. She'll be friendly!

Henrietta Gray (

unregrettable) is a senior and the new Azurcrest Quidditch captain, taking over from her sister who was captain for the last two years. She's a typical party girl, and likes to have fun, although she can come across as really blunt over the journals because she just says what she means. Het will know Roxie through OE and Quidditch.

Aaaand lastly I have Coralee Wong (

firecoral), who is kind of a bitch, although she tries to hide it under fake sweetness and passive aggression. She's a Coppertale junior, which makes her roomies with Roxie! She's also from the Los Angeles area, and her family are purebloods who would definitely look down on Roxie's mother for marrying -- gasp! -- a Muggle. So that probably influenced Coralee's perception of Roxie? But tbh I can't see these two getting on very well anyway. Thoughts?

Re: Pippa. Roxie doesn't understand how you can live without protein. Nuts don't count. How does she store it all??

Henrietta: Roxie appreciates bluntness, though she also finds that it can end up in bad classes. She's probably amiable with henrietta but doesn't go out of her way to befriend the girl.

Coralee: So it's amusing that they're roomies, especially since they likely knew each other before Gooseberry. Her grandfather probably pushes Roxie to befriend Caroalee but Roxie would have none of it -- especially if Coralee is the type to look down on her mother and brother. She'd probably hex Coralee if she's said anything bad about either member of the family. Actually, if you're cool with it, I really love the idea of these two being such enemies that they've gotten into fights before. Coralee probably brings out Roxie's bad side easily.

Coralee... looks down on everyone. And oh wow, I don't think anyone has ever DARED to hex Coralee before? She takes DADA but she's also not the brightest so idk if she'd actually be all that competent at fights? Like, I deliberately didn't make her a part of Duelling Club because omg what if a hex hit her beautiful face. But they could definitely have verbal fights!

Pippa has my herbalist-self curious and I'm sure she'll be fun to watch. (Hilariously, I'm actually allergic to 90 percent of the vegtables in markets these days. Something about the wax and/or preservatives makes my throat get all swell-y so I don't eat vegtables unless they've been cooked to death or come from my mothers garden but I digress).

Roxie isn't above punching Coralee in the nose if she gets to be too much (she hails from the muggle world after all!) but definitely verbal fights would be a lot of fun. Roxie's usually more careful about those whose family have more sway in the political world, but well... theres' a limit.
