Entry tags:! introduction, x-player: emma

Hello there. It's Emma, again, and I have another red head because there are never too many of them. This is Hayley Ferris, currently the ONLY Ebonhide Sophomore so please bring her 'friends'. She's from West Virginia by way of Georgia and both tiny poor towns. Her mothers side of the family struck it rich with a hunting scope a few years back so she and the rest of her family got super rich. Buuut they don't exactly act like it. Ferris, please don't call her Hayley she's not a fan of it, grew up hunting and generally shooting things and living off of the land and then boom became a witch. She's really bad at everything magic wise and can only grow a few things and make some kind of okay potions. She's new to Goose because she got kicked out of her old school for fighting and failing and now she's Gooses's problem! She's tall and grumpy and pretty much in the early stages of teenage rebellion. Ferris is pretty much only here because of money and she's a really good violin player. Like super good and it's the only thing she cares about.

I hesitate to say friends but she can be nice, really! But stubborn and loud most of the time and will most likely be up in detention a lot, sorry Ebonhides :( but friends, people she can slack off with, music people? She's in archery and likes horses and being outside soo if you're in any of those clubs, you'd at least know of her!

Oh Ferris. SHE'S A DELIGHT.

Cecil is immediately concerned to have another little rebel on hand, but hoping that she won't get into too much trouble. He has Outdoor Exploration with her and will be friendly toward her until he has to be the one giving her detention (...and even then will be pretty nice to her, because that's how he does stuff).

Casper is in her house, a fellow musician (drummer) and grumpy person, and generally pro-Muggles and Muggle-things, so there's the potential for them to get along. She is far more outdoorsy and country than him, though, and all of the hunting and skinning and the like might be a bit much for him. Technically, he's a prefect, but he probably won't get on her case too much unless she's being way over the top volatile or reckless.

I apologize now. Really I do. She is just going to yell I do what I want a lot at her poor Head Boy. She can be nice but she is just a mess all around. Though if he's nice she might try to get away with a LITTLE more than she should but is fully prepared to take all the detentions.

At the very least they can play music together if you know drums and violin are all that exciting together!

I'm just picturing his face the first time she did that and it's amazing. But Cecil's pretty good at taking the sass and the rule-breaking in stride, usually, so they might be okay anyway.

I think they can be pretty exciting! ;)

Oh great just what she needs, an electric violin. She won't hate either of them but so so badly try and push those boundaries.

Wooo, Ferris!

So, Calvin's probably hit and miss? On one hand, they're both different flavors of confrontational so I can see them getting into some bad arguments. On the other hand, Calvin's got pretty thick skin when it comes to people who are blunt and abrasive. She reminds him of one of his little brothers who also has some issues with authority. Calvin's fond of all those sophomore Ribbonfin and Azurcrest girls, though, so exactly where he stands on Hayley might depend some on how she gets along with them!

Diego will know her through equestrian, outdoor exploration and music! Their musical tastes overlap, so he's probably happy to play with her. He also loves outdoorsy stuff, but is usually clueless about anything muggley. He's super non-confrontational and will try to laugh off her bad behavior as best he can.

And Reid will probably interact with her the least, although they are in archery together! He's likely to just quietly dig in his heels when/if she goes off on him. He's also a muggleborn, although he's a city boy who has definitely never even touched a rifle.

Wooo!

Yes, yes she is that little brother who has severe issues with authority. Just in female form. Just lots of pouting and yelling and door slamming. Hopefully she gets along with some of them! Even if she's really going ew no I hate everyone go away you suck. It just means she loves you.

Ferris will be more than happy to explain all of the muggle outdoor stuff and be grumpy that he clearly can't do things in muggle ways. Useless magic!

Oh good, someone quietly backing down is just what she wants!

Calvin will just roll his eyes and be dry until she's done with the yelling and door slamming. This sort of behaviour is so normalized for him at home HE WON'T BAT AN EYELASH. IT'S JUST FERRIS BEING FERRIS. He also totally gets the aggression as an expression of affection thing.

Diego maintains that magic is SO USEFUL, but he also loves hearing people talk about what they love so Ferris can bend his ear for hours about how muggles do the wilderness.

Reid is a pro at nope-ing out of arguments. It's that or being a passive aggressive stubborn ass buuuuut I don't think Hayley will need to put up with that side of Reid, haha.

FERRIS DOES WHAT FERRIS WANTS!! She would also love to have brought her gun to school and claims that there are clearly things out there that need to be hunted and if only someone would just let her it would be so much better. She just laughed at everyone freaking out about the electricity! No one really needs it.

Haha. Passive aggressive might not even register to her.

Haha! I'm sorry, Ferris, it's definitely better you left your firearms at home. Guns at school would definitely get her expelled. Plus, hunting is strictly forbidden on school grounds, by magical means or otherwise! That's the road to Serious Punishments like being suspended, and eventually expelled on a repeat offense. Not to mention The Thing in the Woods.

Addy is from the south as well and is happy always to hear familiar accents :(
She would not try to be friends if Ferris didn't want, but grumpy doesn't scare her so she'll still talk at her I am sure

Oh god accents. I haven't even thought about that. She will just assume Addy is some city girl but will secretly super love more southern girls. She likes friends just ...she won't ADMIT to it.

Oh, prickly little baby Sophomores.

Man, Frank is like her Desert Bluffs chipper twin. But with significantly less evil. I HAVE NO IDEA. STUFF. WE WILL SEE.

This is so totally normal behavior for little baby children who are fifteen. I barely remember 15 at this point.

We will see! I'm sure at the very least Frankie will see some great acting out in class.

YES! The redheads <3

Vee will like her because they're I. The same house and also redheads, but she's nice to everyone so that might irritate Ferris? Either way, she'll be friendly. She's also in outdoor exploration and loves. Ring outside!

ANA. I really feel like there cut from the same cloth in a lot of ways. Both aren't necessarily easy to get close to, but they are nice in their own ways. Both don't like being wealthy exactly. Both really get into what they're passionate about. Etc! Ana needs friends like whoa so let me know if I'm pushing this too hard lmao

Oh no, as long as Ana can understand that her idea of love and friendship include being told to fuck off, it's perfectly fine! Ferris is just totally stubborn as butt.

She might twitch at having Vee be nice to her but deep down she will be all like :) even if she says its the WORST ever.

Apparently, Anuhea is a bit intense on the trying in school factor. But then this is the girl who dropped a few classes to super focus on the subjects she cared about and juggle quidditch.

Haha meanwhile Ferris could give two shits about it, she failed out of her other school so that gives you an idea of just how little she cares about school sort of things!

Ferris just doesn't understand how anyone can be against hunting! But she wouldn't push it with him outside of ..'well what do you do with all of them'?

Oh no, Pippa is horrified by the hunting thing. :( She wouldn't be directly confrontational to Ferris, but I don't think these two will be friends.

Henrietta is also in Archery and Outdoor Exploration so she'll know who Ferris is. Het is just like "lol ok w/e" at Ferris's grumpy rebellious teenager phase.

Ferris is a bit...overenthusiastic about her guns. So it's totally understandable.

Oh yes, I fully expect most people to go w/e w/e at her rebellious phase. Because that's what normal people would do!
