So, I told you guys that you wouldn't have to read another intro post from me but, um, I lied? I really wanted a Hufflepuff, okay?! And and and, Anna Kendrick! And also to have a character whose name doesn't start or end in a vowel (let's not discuss her full name), (seriously though, Stella, Amelia, Ava, Elena, Elodie...)!

And I need to get on topic because Nat and I are sitting in the same room having a race to see who can introduce their character first so we can go explore dinner options. So! This is Guinevere Bronwyn Montgomery, but you may call her Gwen. In fact, you must call her Gwen unless you're the foolish (but beloved) parents who named her Guinevere. She's H6. And here are some factoids about her:

• Gwen is really Welsh. Like, really. Her parents actually met at a Welsh-speaking primary school before either of them discovered they had magical powers. She also attended a Welsh-speaking primary school before coming to Hogwarts. She's from Cardiff.

• She's a Montgomery sister, but not one of the Montgomery sisters. The crying pair will be her younger sisters, current third years, who sport the unfortunate monikers of Tristan and Isolde. Tristan is a Hufflepuff like her big sister. Isolde is a Gryffindor. Given the current school environment that's... interesting.

• She's pretty laid back about most things, but very intensely into her academic interests which are first and foremost Care of Magical Creatures (her mum, who she worships, is a Magical Creature expert for the DoMC), followed closely by Herbology and Potions. She spends a lot of time doing outside study and sneaking off to the greenhouses and Hagrid's hut. So she spends a fair amount of time on her own and is perfectly capable of keeping herself entertained.

• She's hard to anger, but can hold a serious grudge. So don't bully her sisters. Or cheat in international tournaments. Or date her and then be a dick, Sebastian. (Why, yes, we have ACRIMONIOUS Hufflepuffs who can't stand to be in the same room as one another, people!)

• She is not the type to be super effusive and have lots of REALLY, REALLY CLOSE FRIENDS (like a certain character of mine that I could mention), instead she has a few close intimates and a lot of friendly acquaintances. I sort of imagine her closest school friends to be her roommates. Tamsin? Ronnie? You up for this? Everyone else, she will be perfectly friendly and probably laugh at your jokes.

• She has the cutest little brother in the world. She will hear no arguments about this.

	Samir ADORES her, as he does when it comes to all H6. He was wary when she and Stebbins started dating, and he's now torn between bro loyalty and wanting to pamper her. Cormac says he can help Gwen forget her crappy ex, nudge nudge, wink wink... Hamish is really Scottish, so maybe they can mock dem crazy Sassenachs together? He'll be friendly. Gwen, of course, likes Samir, too. How could anyone not like Samir? She probably finds the bouncing a bit overwhelming on occasion, but does appreciate the pampering.

She actually probably thinks Cormac is kind of adorable.

Oh definitely. Gwen has some seriously anti-English tendencies locked away. The law that Welsh should be taught in all schools in Wales was only passed when she was 10, after all.

	OMG, I didn't think much about her having the cutest little brother until I realized what happens to him in HBP. :( Leanne is in all of the clubs Gwen's in, and I think they'd get along. Audrey is in her year and in chess club, so she'd know her, too. Again, she'd probably get along with her. Alexandra wouldn't know her too well, but she'd be nice. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Yeah, it's a sad thing :( I've played Gwen's younger sisters post-HBP, but playing the family before is going to huuuurt. Leanne and Gwen can definitely be friendly. And I think that Audrey and Gwen would appreciate each other. They can sit and have some subtle snark together. Gwen will be nice right back. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	COMC, Herbology, and Potions are Ruby's favorite classes too, in that order. So maybe they can bond over that sometime. If she mostly keeps to herself/H6, I'm not sure how well Cho will know her... YET (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Excellent. Yes! They can bump into each other in the greenhouse or something? Or, well, they probably already have in six years. Oh, she'd know Cho, probably. She's introverted but not shy or even particularly quiet. She just prefers to keep people as friendly acquaintances rather than having a million people who she has deep conversations with. You make me miss Wayne. Also, Helga is smiling to know that her fellow countrymen are still being sorted Hufflepuff. I'm trying to remember if I've seen a Welsh character played who isn't Hufflepuff, and Issy is the only one I can think of. So. It would really amuse me if nearly every Welsh character was Hufflepuff because Helga was secretly racist and she was like MINE every time one came along. Er, anyway.

Barney will be super friendly and want to talk to her about creatures, magical and otherwise. I think his bounciness may be too much for her sometimes, if Samir's is.

Mel has more sympathy with Wales' status as an oppressed sub-nation than Scotland, and is one of few English people around who probably understands what she's talking about, so they could talk about that. If, you know the Gryff/Puff rivalry doesn't get in the way.

Lee may have flirted with her in the past but he's being fairly obnoxious in his Gryffindorness right now, so they probably won't get on so well.

Yakov will be nice. He will be confused by the Welsh stuff, as he doesn't really get the whole United Kingdom four-countries-as-one-country-or-kind-of-five-if-you-count-Ireland-and-Northern-Ireland-separately-and-some-people-want-Cornwall-to-be-another-one thing, but if she explains it he will be sympathetic and be like, try being JEWISH. Everyone in the world oppresses us. Srsly.

Hahaha. I love the idea of racist pro-Welsh Helga a lot. You should NPC Wayne in a thread with Gwen and Tristan. They can get their Welshpuff on.

Gwen thinks Barney is a sweet kid and loves to chat about creatures of all kinds. But, yes, on occasion she has to escape from the bounciness for a quieter headspace :P

That would be fun! Gwen usually isn't particularly vocal about her political beliefs, but if Mel starts a Model UN kinda situation, she would want to join and it might come up.

Gwen would have been charmed by being flirted with. Now she glares.

And she will sympathize with Yakov. But that won't keep her from hating on the Cymrophobic overlords!

Anna Kendrick! ♥ Ugh I can't wait for Pitch Perfect to come out in the UK.

Anyway! Katie would probably be friendly, if it wasn't for the whole Pottergate scandal. I mean, she's still willing to be friendly, but is kind of put off by the ~hate~ coming out of Hufflepuff at the mo.

And Ingvardine... doesn't care. Lol idk, she will just be Ingvardine I guess.

P.S. Love the names in Gwen's family!

Pitch Perfect was sooooooo great. I loved it. You should definitely see it when it comes out there.

Gwen is willing to still be friendly as well, but is kind of put off by the smug and cheating coming out of Gryffindor, so we will have to see, haha.

She probably won't take much notice of Ingvardine.

And thanks! Gwen's still a little annoyed that her little brother got to be just Mark. Sure, it's in the same story as Tristan and Isolde, but it is just unfair!
