A possible hiatus and an intro...
Hi, it's Crystal! I have some bad news and some good news.

The bad news is that I'm living in the path of Hurricane Sandy, and there's a risk of power outages in the next couple of days, meaning I may have to take a hiatus, so I'm pre-emptively announcing it now since I obviously can't if the power goes out.

And onto the good news, I have a third character! Her name is Alexandra Volakis, and she's a 7th year student at Durmstrang. She's from a small village on the Greek island of Crete, and she's an aspiring healer.

If Alexandra had gone to Hogwarts, she probably would have sorted into Hufflepuff. She's very caring and likes to help others, hard-working, etc. She's very people-oriented and likes to be around others, though she's not the stereotypical extrovert- she's quiet, soft-spoken, supportive, and a good listener rather than the loud life of the party one usually envisions when thinking of extroverts.

Then again, like a Ravenclaw, she's a voracious reader and loves reading about faraway places that she hopes to travel to someday. In fact, she decided to sign up for the tournament because she'd get to go to Scotland. She was a chaser for the Black Team and the school team back at Durmstrang, but is substituting with Flying Club this year. She's also going to be in the Book and Charms clubs.

I'm up for Durmstrang plot and future connections of all kinds!

Agh, that's awful! Let's hope Sandy won't cause too much damage your way.

Hamish will be nice. He and Alexandra can talk Quidditch and flying.

Potential Hufflepuff with Ravenclaw tendencies? Samir is so going to try to bond with her! They'll be in Book Club together, so that will be their meeting point for the most part.

And Cormac... *sighs* She's female, so he'll be trying to catch her attention as he always does.

	So far, things are holding up okay, but it's not supposed to get at its worst over here for a couple of hours. I think Alexandra will like Hamish and Samir. Not so much Cormac, but she'll try to be nice to him. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Barney - will like her, I think. They could become friendly? He will talk to her in Flying and Charms clubs.

Lee - will like her too, but won't have any excuse to talk to her, so he will just do it because she's pretty.

Mel - will talk to all the foreign people because she is interested, and Alexandra is no exception.

Yakov - probably likes her if she is nice to him, which it looks like she would be? Friends?

I think they could become friendly! And she'll probably want to talk about Quidditch once she finds out that Barney used to play.

I think she'll probably get along fine with Lee and Mel, and she'd be glad to talk to Mel about Durmstrang and Greece.

And friends with Yakov sounds good! She'll probably try (as nicely as possible) to get him to clean himself up as often as possible.
