Introducing Leon
Hi all! Me again (as I said to Patricia - I'm insane. More characters doesn't phase me at all). This guy is someone all of you will get to know eventually - Ravenclaw 7th year and soon to be Head Boy, Leon Beery.

The most important thing to know about him is that he was the least likely prefect choice EVER (yep, even less likely than a certain Mr Weasley), let alone an unlikely candidate for Head Boyship. Regarding the latter, when it's announced, people will think Flitwick and Dumbledore chose him basically to troll everybody. Leon kind of suspects this himself.

If you frequent Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, you'll have encountered family members. His dad runs the Hogsmeade branch, and his grandfather the one in Diagon. Also in Diagon is Beery's, a Muggle themed café-bar managed by his older brother, Alexander. His great-great-grandfather is former Herbology Prof and Head of Slytherin Herbert Beery, he who directed the ill fated production of Fountain of Fair Fortune before buggering off to WADA. Incidentally, that's Leon's own ambition after leaving school. There's nothing else he wants to do - and rightly, because he's good. If you're in choir, you'll see him there.

He's taking Charms, DADA, Divination, Muggle Studies, Potions and Transfiguration. His optionals are his best subjects, but he carries himself well in Potions and Transfiguration, too. He's basically only taking DADA to make up numbers, and is open about that (he's not one of his house's geekier people. A lot of his smarts are to do with people skills).

Personality wise, he's very up front and straight talking - don't expect to manipulate him to get out of trouble - but he reserves his more acerbic comments for those people who are being utterly ridiculous or cruel. Don't expect to get out of trouble by going over his head to the Head Girl or other prefects, either, because he's rather savvy and will figure out what you're up to very fast. If there was a good cop/bad cop thing going on, I'll let you guess which he'd take ;)

Having said that, he isn't a bastard. He treats all four houses well, and is fair minded when it comes to prect/HB duties. You wouldn't get away with stuff just because you're a friend/a relative/ in his house, but he's not massively strict. For instance, if you do something against the rules and look really stupid as a result, he'll consider that punishment enough and leave you alone. He's no Percy Weasley and in general he's definitely one of the most laid-back prefects in recent history.

Plot with me! :)

Heather

As I'm playing six characters in another game, I'm the last person who could call you insane. :P

Cormac will sneak a stash of Firewhiskey to school, so he'll try to stay on Leon's good graces in case his little secret is discovered. He won't help but throw a little snark his way over the reason why Dumbledore and Flitwick picked him, though. It's just bigger than him.

And Hamish is a housemate, and even though Leon is not much into Quidditch he'll know him as one of his players.

And in a bit of trivia, Julie and I considered having a drama club in the game, but thought it would make for some funny backstory to treat things as if the club had remained inactive since Herbert's disastrous attempt to produce that damn play. You can play with that in any way you want.

So am I ;)

Leon says Cormac can snark all he likes - he's still got the badge and the authority that goes with it, so he might want to keep that in mind ;)

Yes, he does go to Quidditch games because it's the right thing to do when Ravenclaw are playing, so he'd be a familiar face.

I imagine Leon will have been very frustrated about it... and it's probably the reason he does so much amateur dramatics during the holidays, ha ha. With no Quidditch this year he might try and encourage one to be started up again, though!

I'm all for an attempt to resurrect the club. The info pages on the foreign schools are still WiPs, so I might make them (or at least BB) have drama clubs of their own, so that Leon can perhaps have allies for this.

Why, hello there Leon. Fancy seeing you here. So you know mine. None of them are in Leon's house or year so we may have limited interaction, though. Of course, they'll know him as the Headboy and will have gone in his dad and grandfather's shops. Mel and Lee will probably frequent his brother's cafe-bar too. I imagine Lee will wind up getting in trouble with him at some point.

Heya! Stella is in Leon's house. And one of his prefects. And they're in choir together. And he has boyband hair. Safe to say, I think they probably interact some! Stella is also quite talented and might head for WADA someday if it ever occurred to her--maybe Leon could help with that!

Amelia probably has limited interaction with Leon. But, since he's a 7th year in Divination, she might demand to know if she'd ever going to learn anything useful from that useless, sherry-sipping, old drunk.

God, Amy, you're such a ray of bloody sunshine.

Leon likes the phrase "his prefects", like he has a team ready to take over the world! :D She could perhaps be one of his allies in bringing back the drama club?

If she phrases it like that, he's not going to be impressed. He kind of likes Trelawney in her strange ways! XD

Stella would be up for taking over the world! As long as it was for a good cause. She'd like to be a Natasha Romanov type. *starts imagining the prefect as the Avengers*

Yes, clearly we need to get this girl into drama club...

And Amy is usually a bit more tactful when she speaks than she is in her internal monologue ;)

He sounds awesome! Obviously Marietta will know who he is as a Prefect and now HB. She might not know what to think but she's boring and will give him respect and not cause waves, heh.

Leanne's in his house, so she'd know him from that, at least. If he does try to resurrect the drama club, she'd jump on the chance to volunteer to be in charge of costumes.

Aww! Luke Mitchell!!! I love it when he gets used.

Alicia will know him as a prefect I'm sure! And now headboy. I don't really see why she'd have much of a problem with him. She likes straight talkers, so she may get on just fine with him!

I've used him a few times, though mostly for this kid. Never had a legit reason to use the icon of him in drag, though.

Awesome! :D

Oh wow. *stares* One more name to add to my list of hot boys in drag.

And it feels so weird writing this while logged in as Cormac.
