Giving as graceful a curtsey as she could manage in the elegantly tailored (yet undeniably designed for distinctly non-courtly duties) clothes she wore, Flora rose as the Dowager Queen approached Ciaran's crib for a cuddle with her grandson. Flora liked the Queen - as members of the Scottish court went, she was more welcoming in her formal manners - but she was still undeniably nervous and very keen to impress. There was something about Mairi Macmillan's elegant and cool demeanour that inspired such a response.
"The Crown Prince is well today, Your Majesty" Flora replied, using Ciaran's most formal of titles as befitted the opening to the conversation. She would refer to him as Prince Ciaran or 'the Prince' unless prompted to do so by a more senior figure in the rest of the conversation. "He has slept well, and enjoyed a morning stroll in the gardens for his daily exercise. He has played some games here in the nursery as well."
There would be time for further details later, should the Queen request them of her.
