So. We, as mods, have decided that when we're doing OOC interactions, we're closer as a game and friendlier to each other. Back when we were posting lots of activities for the players in the OOC, we were generally more likely to plot and play and be nice to each other. We're going to bring that back. Or, at least, be more punctual about getting things up on time and having a set schedule for everything.
The schedule will be as follows:
Mondays - Prompts. A list of 10 prompts will be posted every Monday. The challenge will be to complete all 10 prompts, as a game, by the next Monday.
Tuesdays - Character Development. A short questionnaire, or some other type of activity, will be posted to help further your character's development or your understanding of your character.
Wednesdays - Character Spotlight. Each week, a different character will be selected at random and put under the spotlight. Players can ask questions about the character either IC or OOC, discuss what they like/dislike about the character, suggest things they'd like to see from the character, list their favorite quotes said by that character, or just show love.
Thursdays - Challenges. A challenge will be posted each Thursday, that is meant to help push you and your characters in different ways. Each challenge will be good for that day only, not the entire week, and is designed to help foster your creativity as both a writer and a player. Examples of challenges might be to do an entire thread without dialogue, or perhaps a thread where no single reply can be under 250 words.
Fridays - Plot Posts. These will only be bimonthly, meaning only every other Friday will they be posted. Their purpose is to help you, as a player, find storylines with other players. And maybe to line your characters up to play with someone they haven't yet played with. They will be posted on the first Friday of the month, and the third Friday.
Saturdays - Gif War. Let's give that brain a rest, and just post silly gifs. The more, the merrier.
Sundays - Memorable Quotes. We are all familiar with this one. Each Sunday a post will go up encouraging you to read through the past weeks threads and forum posts and give credit to those characters that said something that you reacted to, either with a laugh, a frown, a gasp or anger.
We also have AU week, which we'll be doing monthly as well. On the fourth Friday of the month, we'll put up a post discussing what everyone wants the next months AU week to be focused on. On the second Friday of the next month, we will put up an AU plot post, where everyone can plot for the AU week. Then, AU week will take place the third week of each month, tandem with the normal universe of Genome.
On the last day of each month, one of us will post that months game stats, including thread leaders, those who completed challenges, and other relevant, but not relevant, information!
