Did you know that there are currently 35 pre-mades for Scientists? (36, after I put another up here.) While the population is growing, adults also seem to have THE highest mortality rates in this game. But the advantages of them are awesome!
1) Most of them are parents! Which means that there is a fairly large support group no matter what sort of parents you are (the laissez faire ones, the over- perfectly right level of protective ones, the ones who just can't wait to get their kids the hell out of the house, the ones who just don't give a damn, the ones who want to manipulate their kids for their own purposes!) so you can have friends.
2) Occasionally they have dinner parties!
3) You get to read the kids journals! However acting on this has had a variety of effects in the past so you might want to be careful about that. They're getting smarter.
4) THEY ARE AWESOME (and sometimes the females have powers!)
So the next time you're working on a character, just think how awesome it would be to have an adult! :D

And now, Jennee with #5 character, and my second scientist. Deputy Sheriff Denny John Judah Duquette Winchester Botwin Patrick Hopkins, is a divorced father of four with the kids all living with his ex-wife Michelle. He cares a lot about his kids though even though they can get away with about anything (as long as it's not illegal), but is fairly dedicated to his job in trying to keep the island safe for everyone. Even if the kids are kind of turning into murderers these days... He's also a very strong Catholic (we can just picture what the divorce did to him) and passed those beliefs onto his kids, but follows more of the Dogma example of "it doesn't matter what you have faith in, but you should have faith in something". He's also nice until you give him a reason to act otherwise. And he might have killed Brendan's daddy...
