Hey everyone! Nyx here, bringing you my second character. (Already?) His name is Robert Higgins, and he's a scientist that's...pretty much the opposite of Nat in every way. Here is a bullet list of Things You Need to Know About Him:
- He is a lineface. On a typical day, his emotional range spans from ":|" to "B(". This is because he is one of the most emotionally stunted people you will ever meet.
- However, sometimes he breaks up the monotony by having manic emotional outbursts! This tends to be uncomfortable and embarrassing for everyone involved.
- He has issues with religion. Don't ever talk to him about this.
- He has somewhat less severe issues with the military. Don't ever talk to him about this either.
- He has some health problems. For one thing, his respiratory system was permanently weakened by a childhood illness, so strenuous activity/smoke/dust/etc makes him hack and wheeze all over the place. For another, he has chronic insomnia and a dependence on sleeping meds.
- Because I am a fan of irony, Mr. Dour McHatesfun here runs the entertainment store. (Which still needs a name, by the way. Suggestions?) He'll probably be hiring summer positions
since his lack of family and general attitude means I'm not really sure how to get him involved with people otherwise, so uh if you want to have one of your kids working there during summer break that'd be cool with me.

Hi all,
Didn't think this day would come, but it has. This isn't the best timing in the world given that everybody seems to be posting various apologies for not being active, but time is never one of your own choosing, especially when it comes to muses and other such things.
I'll be taking my leave of the Genome Project along with my seven muses. Not sure what'll happen to them and how they'll get written out, but it's always safe to assume that they managed to get off the island or something to that effect.
Ideally I'd like to give them a proper send off, but it might not be possible so here's the long and short of it:-
Sam - Fled into the night! Probably left a message for Jessica before he did, much in the same thread as Ellie with the leaving of an uber sekrit number for her to call.
Max - I'm sure Evan's best friend will still be around, just not my version of him. Again, do not want to deprive Evan of a best friend.
Ethan - Yay for escaping the island to LA.
Alec - Safe to assume Mr Fox is still around, just not my version of him, obviously. Wouldn't want to deprive Luke of a father!
Ellie - Ran with Lizzie, leaving notes for people in her life such as James telling him she was getting off the island and if he ever got off to call her on a number written on her note. Something about looking forward to hearing from him.
Robin - Escaped the island I think, with his family.
Chris - Think the project finally got to him, he came clean and then left the island. Probably with his sister in tow.
It's been fun, writing with all of you and your various muses. Hopefully we'll still chat about stuff. Really did love my time here and sorry to be going, but much like Alex I was no longer feeling the game. I never usually let IC stuff affect me OOC and yet it was, which isn't fair nor is it very mature. Last thing I want to be is one of those players, God forbid.
Just wish I hadn't reached this point, really do.

Hey everyone,
This week certainly seems to be one for apologies, huh? Much like Mands, I never thought that this day would come but I’m afraid that I, too, am going to have to take my leave from this game. It’s such a shame as I adore this game and I love my characters, and I’ve really enjoyed writing with you all.
Unfortunately, I’m not feeling the game anymore and I don’t want how I’m feeling out of character to bleed into my IC posts as I have never let that happen before. I know that there’s supposed to be a level of distance between the writer and the character but I get so attached to my muses that sometimes it’s hard.
With regards to my characters, I think it’s relatively safe to assume that they got off the island (not Lily, of course because we wouldn’t want to deprive Luke of his mom now, would we? :) ), shipped off somewhere else.
I hope to stay in touch with you all because I’ve enjoyed my time here, I’m just sorry that it’s reached a stage where I feel like I have to leave.
