Midnight mod post [22 Apr 2010|12:58am]
As you all know, our cap on new characters who aren't on the premade list just went into effect this week. However, we do have a new player who will be bringing us some new, plot-causing characters, although they won't officially start playing in the comms until May 1. We do, however, suggest that everyone run the friend button in case you haven't in a while!

Also, after much deliberation, we are lifting the 4 character limit cap. New characters will be considered on a case-by-case basis and we're counting on you to know how many you can handle at one time. If you're going to have 5 or more, though, it would be excellent if you could at least considering eventually sacrificing them for the sake of future gamewide plottage.

That's all for now!

Newcomer Here! [22 Apr 2010|12:58am]
Hello everyone! Michael here (courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Emily), bringing you Jacquelyn Eva Pierce-Roswell (pierce_roswell) and Charles "Coin" Henry Anstron (lucky_coin). As mentioned in the entry below, I'll be sitting out until at least the first of May, but Jacquelyn's journal should see some use before then, if you're interested.

Anyway...

Jacquelyn is a bit of a wild card: a unnaturally powerful mutant (she possesses Quantum Manipulation, granting her some degree of control over most of the physical properties of matter), she first manifested her abilities at under three years of age, and was subsequently pulled away and placed in an experimental research facility. Now, almost nineteen years later, she is finally ready to be re-assimilated into the ongoing experiment. Heavily traumatized and completely inexperienced in most real-world matters, Jacquelyn will enter the town with no idea of what to expect and nobody to relate to, all the while dealing with the strain of holding on to her mind in the face of her growing abilities, which threaten to consume her completely. She's a walking plot hook, and I'm more than happy to build on that fact. Feel free to hit me up with any and all ideas.

Coin, as he prefers to be called, is a little more straightforward. He's gifted (although he's not fully aware of it yet) with the power of Probability Manipulation, making him one lucky bastard. Handsome, charismatic, and slightly narcissistic, Coin always likes to be in the limelight, and will go out of the way to make life a little more fun (and often a little more dangerous) for his friends. He's a colossal flirt with a tendency to break hearts, and hides a compassionate side that he'd really rather people didn't talk about to much, lest it mar his image. Coin has potential for strengthening group bonds or bringing reserved characters out of their shells, and is also ripe for as many romantic subplots as people care to throw at him. Who knows...maybe one will stick. He might unintentionally conflict with other attention-hogging characters, or get on their bad side when their desires conflict and Coin's natural luck swings things his way.

Now a little about myself: I'm a 21-year old Graphic Design major with about eight years of experience with a variety of different forms of role-play from Free-Form to Pen & Paper to long-form Improv. I'm always up for new ideas, character discussion, general chatting, or whatever, and I'm happy to take criticism if it's given or offer advice or my opinion if it's asked.

Looking forward to joining your community!

[ mood | crazy ]

Just a quick note to you folks,

I currently have 4 different browsers open to try and keep up with the amount I have going on in game so... if I'm a teensy bit slow? That's why.

Much with the window jumping.
