When: Third period
Rating: PG-13
Jessica had hidden for the remainder of English class. She hadn't wanted to talk the principal, who she was sure was going to be calling home, if he hadn't already. She was still in shock. She had not only talked back to a teacher but she had called her a bitch and stormed out of class. She'd even slammed the door behind her!
She had taken the long way around to her next class so she would not have to risk seeing Mrs. Tibbits, and was startled to receive a note from the counselor's office. A few people eyed her curiously. Jessica Pace did not get sent to the counselor's office. Then again, they had all heard of her outburst already, so perhaps it was less shocking than it might have been.
Jessica had dragged her feet to Chris' office and stared at the door for a few minutes before finally working up the gall to pull it open. Jessica wanted to be a psychologist, not see one, and being on the other side of things was a bit unnerving. She had read up on the subject outside of school. What was Chris going to think of her? Actually knowing what kind of labels might be scribbled down and attached to her name forever made this entire thing that much more intimidating.
She cleared her throat awkwardly, leaning back against the door. One arm rested at her side while the other reached across to grab her elbow, hugging herself as she unconsciously maintained as much distance between the two of them as possible. "You wanted to see me?" she said weakly.
