Who: Jack and Elliot
What: meeting after a gig
When: this past Friday night
Rated: TBD but not too high
The show had been a success. They usually were, but tonight, Jack felt it had gone especially swimmingly. They hadn't really had a show since before the holidays. Everyone in the band had been busy with their own thing, be it midterms, finals, their mother dying, etc. It was good to get back into their routine, even if it was with a few new members. Jack wasn't complaining. He honestly thought they sounded better than they ever did. Most of that was due, in part, to the vocal talents of Ariel. But he also had a feeling they were just getting along better, syncing up more.
He took his guitar off and set it down on its stand before scanning the crowd. A group of girls were already forming at the edge of the stage, waiting to pounce. Usually, Jack ate up the attention, but he wasn't really feeling in the mood at the moment. He just needed something cold to drink (water, preferably, though the club owner tended to let them drink whatever they wanted) and someone familiar to talk to. And not about the set he'd just played.
He jumped off the stage, ignoring everyone's pleas to get his attention. Quickly, he waded through the crowd, slowing down only when he saw how many people deep the bar was. With a wave of his hand, and a shout, he was promptly tossed a bottle of water. He unscrewed the top and took a swig. When he lowered the bottle and wiped his mouth, he spotted just the familiar face he could distract himself with. He walked over and tapped her on the shoulder. She looked smoking hot, if he didn't say so himself.
"Hey! I didn't know you were coming tonight!"
