Sumi couldn't get over how wonderfully gentleman-like this southern boy was turning out to be. She had never met anyone quite like him, all the way to the point of offering her his arm. "I'd love to help you out," she told him, "Present shopping is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays." She then tapped his nose playfully with her index finger, "And that's why you're still getting a present." She smiled and winked at the boy then entwined her arm with the one he offered.
"So tell me what the two of them are like?" she asked as they began to walk, "I'm sure your mother is a wonderful woman to have raised such a charming gentleman as yourself." Part of the statement was her still half flirting, but it was also something she felt was likely to be true. It's easy to figure out what a person's parents are like by how they act, and this guy was the best mannered man she had ever met, outside her GongGong or her adopted dad.
