It was good to get out of the dorm. Sumi felt that the past couple weeks (ever since she got back from Thanksgiving) she had been stuck either in class or her dorm room trying to keep up with her studies. She was fairly sure that her grades were safe, but she wanted to finish all the projects and papers before she got out and let herself get distracted. She had turned in her last paper that morning, so now the only thing, aside from attending class, that she had to do was study for exams. Sumi entered the mall and basked in the warmth for a moment. She had tried to dress warmly, long white sleeve turtleneck, blue jeans that tucked inside her light brown boots. She tucked her gloves and scarf inside her bag, but kept her knitted cap on since it matched her shoes (plus she thought it looked cute).
She hummed along with the Christmas music as it hit her ears. A smile came to her face as she began walking. She then began distracting herself by coming up with a mental list of everyone she needed to buy for. Obviously her parents. She also would likely look for something for Ariel. A few of her classmates she had done projects with would probably be a nice way to say thank you. She would also find something for that cute southern boy; after all, he was planning on sharing some of this special southern drink with her. Aaron. Maybe something small for Dawn. She had only just met the girl, but she seemed nice. Sumi was also just in the mood to spread as much cheer as she could. It would help distract her from memories of GongGong.
While she went through the list of people she needed presents for, she became a bit too distracted, nearly causing her to run straight into a kiosk, but she managed to avoid it just in time to run into someone else. "Sorry! I was lost in my own little world."
