Who: Lexie and Annie When: Sunday afternoon Where: The mall What: Sisterly bonding Rating: Low
Lexie smiled at her sister over her cone of dark chocolate gelato. It had been a highly afternoon, as far as Lexie was concerned: her two new skirts, an adorable blouse and a pair of absolutely killer shoes rested snugly in the bags she carried on each arm, but more importantly, she'd gotten to spend the afternoon with her little sister, and nothing said "sisterly bonding" like a little retail therapy.
"All right," Lexie said authoritatively. "We've covered the boring stuff - school, parents, general life craziness. Moving on to the more important stuff, who are you going to this fabulous school formal with? And what are you wearing? Do we need to make a one more stop to get you the most beautiful dress we can find?" Lexie's tone was light and bubbly. Even if she was totally joking about the dating scene being more important than family and school, the two things that were obviously the most important things in the world to Lexie, she knew that such things really were important to Annie. Even though she'd never actually gone to a school dance herself when she was in high school, Lexie understood how all-consuming these things could be.
