"Are you trying to kill me?"
It was a good thing the Sullivans had reinforced the walls of the training room just that summer. It had currently just received a nice ball of fire, which was slowly burning itself out just a few feet from where Penny was standing. Of course, it was dangerous teaching children how to use their powers, especially when one of them was a human fireball, but this was Penny’s job. And despite it all, she wouldn't trade it in for any other job in the world. True, she missed journalism and writing, but this was rewarding as well.
"Sorry, Mrs. Sullivan," she heard and just shook her head.
"Be more careful, yeah? Focus. Don't let your body control you. You control your body."
It was probably easy for her to say, considering her power didn't really demand much from her. It was mostly just having a sixth sense type of deal, much like Johnny's own power. But it was due to her power that she could give these kids those types of suggestions. She had been doing the same for years with her friends after the project was outed. Now it was just a matter of getting these inexperienced kids to get used to having super powers.
Another giant blob of fire landed right by her feet, and Penny had to jump back to not get hit with tiny flames that bounced off of it. She glared at the student and had to hold back from just throwing down her notepad and leaving the training area. One thing she couldn't control, however, was her mouth.
"Okay, now I know you're really trying to kill me."
