Even after years and years of trying Josie still couldn't cook to save her life. She could microwave, oh she could microwave like nobody's business, but having microwaved meals got old. Also Adrian with the help of Caleb managed to convince her that staying locked up in the house wasn't healthy for her. She needed to get out. She couldn't let Ward Parry drive her into that pit of fear she had been when Dale was first born. So admitting defeat she made her way to one of her favorite little cafes.
Her fear dissipated the closer she got, mostly because as she went she realized that being so scared was foolish. It was also partially because despite how discreet he was trying to be Josie noticed Caleb on his bike always across the street or on the opposite end of the block. Close enough in case she needed him. She could very well take care of herself, but it was sweet of him to worry. Deep down she knew that Caleb was a good guy...just needed to get that temper under control.
Josie was about to go in when she noticed a somewhat welcome sight, a sight she doesn't see that often. Her brother, her twin, Jacen was sitting there...a grin came to her face...reading a comic book. Sure things were strained between the two still to this day Josie decided to sit across from him. He seemed to not even notice...he might have been ignoring her hoping she'd go away but no, Josie was still stubborn. A smirk came to her lips as she eyed his soda on the table. Deciding to appease him by reverting to the ways they were when they were younger she slid it over and took a couple of sips. He noticed and she smirk,
"That depends, you buying," she grimaced, "also, ew, I now remember that you never liked the sugar like I did. Diet Jace, honestly."
