Due to the censorship on the island, several key comic books had been banned, so that the children with developing superpowers wouldn't suspect much when it came to these powers. That only meant that Jacen had years of comics that he had to catch up on, and despite having made a valiant attempt, he still had a long way to go. It was during quiet lunch breaks such as these, while sitting out in the sun and enjoying the last few rays of sunshine before winter, that Jacen found himself nose deep into his current X-men comic.
Jacen was a geek. Everyone knew that. But to find a comic that he could actually relate to was an even bigger plus for him. He quickly began to realize that his favorite character was Mystique, probably because changing her appearance reminded him of Annie. Anything that reminded him of Annie usually had the tendency to make him smile, and coming home to her and the girls every day was his reward for working hard to provide for them. Jacen could really get into these comics though, so much that if someone were to sit across from him at his table, he probably wouldn't even notice.
Slowly, Jacen peered up and over his comic, blinking. Someone had really just taken a seat across from him and was helping themselves out to his diet coke? Really? He remained quiet for a moment, just watching this person with curious yet amused eyes. Finally, he spoke up.
"Would you like some fries with that diet coke?"
