AC raised his eyebrows curiously. It was rare to find a spirit who seemed almost comfortable as a spirit, or comfortable enough at least to be accepting of the fact that most living people would consider him to be "empty space". AC welcomed his honesty though. It felt almost normal, or as normal as talking to a spirit could be.
"Hi, James," AC said. He shrugged and just idlly dusted himself off. "It's kind of easier to just let it happen. Eventually they'll get bored and move on. I just didn't think it would happen in college, you know?" But of course, James couldn't know. He hadn't been alive for over a decade and didn't even look like he had been to college. With some spirits, AC could tell the amount of time (give or take) that they'd been dead. Something about the texture of their "skin" and the fading color of the aura that surrounded them.
"So James, how long have you been in the afterlife?"
