Who: David and Lexie
When: Monday night
Where: Pearson's pub
Rating: TBD
Okay, so tonight hadn't exactly been the best of nights. Lexie rarely had time to go out with anyone, let alone to a bar (unless it was with Macy for a Cosmo or two), but tonight she'd gone against her better judgment and agreed to go out with some acquaintances to celebrate the first week of summer. Now, two hours later, as she sat alone on a bar stool, Lexie really wished she'd gone with her better judgment. It wasn't like Lexie wasn't used to being a third wheel; some days that was all she ever felt like, despite the repeated efforts of all her teachers to tell her she was special. Flautists were a dime a dozen, she knew, and anyone who said differently was just deluding themselves. Besides, if she were really that good, she would've gotten into some other school than Hobbs. Not that Hobbs was so bad. But it wasn't Julliard. It wasn't Peabody. Damn. Three years at school and she still hadn't gotten over this. She looked down at her single empty Cosmo glass and sighed. Maybe it was time for something a little stronger than vodka and cranberry juice.
"Hey bartender?" She called, her voice flatter than usual although not devoid of all its pep. "Can I have something else? I'll take anything so long as it's stronger than a Cosmo."
