Who: Sasha and Nico
What: Discussions of refrigerators and other unsavory topics
Where: In the city
When: After this
It was sweltering outside with no signs of a single passing breeze or even a bit of rain to cool everything down. Sasha was just sitting on the steps outside of a building waiting for her husband to come get her. She could have easily taken the train back home. She had only asked Nico to drop her off because the station was a few blocks away from where her job was, and she didn't want to get all sweaty and stinky in this heat. Now that everything had gone south though, she didn't care about getting sweaty or stinking. But she also didn't want to be alone.
She tapped her foot impatiently against the sidewalk. She was torn between wanting to cry and wanting to scream or imbed something magnetically into a wall. Reports of mutants being discriminated against were always going around. Sasha, however, had never been on the receiving end of any of these, at least not directly. She pursed her lips and looked up again to see if Nico was finally here. It hadn't been that long, but Sasha was dying to get out of there. It was embarrassing enough to practically be kicked out of a job for being a human magnet. The last thing she wanted was for anyone else to see her out here on the verge of a meltdown.
