Caleb smiled slightly when he heard Abby chuckle slightly. He had always liked that he could make her laugh. However, that made him remember how cold and distant he was their last few weeks together. He rarely made her laugh then. He was so focused on deciding to join Hellfire, and how to tell everyone. Deciding that he thought it was best to just cut ties with everyone and leave. Rip the band-aid off quickly.
Caleb's eyes widened and his body froze in shock when he felt her warm lips on his cheek. Although he'd deny it later his cheeks flushed...on no...oh hell no...he was not blushing...he was a man...a tough guy...a guy who could carry a gun...he didn't blush. He glanced over to Abby and tried to smile back at the wide smile she gave him. He relaxed into his smile and the blush completely faded after a few moments. Really? Him admitting he was wrong made her that happy. Guess he should always take the blame if it leads to reactions like that from girls. He chuckled at that thought and knew she'd probably playfully smack him had he said it aloud.
Caleb was all ready to leave but was surprised when she stopped him and he turned back with a confused look on his face. He crossed his arms and listened to her talk. He chuckled, "Well you have it now, might come in handy when your little one comes out...a bit better than your hubby's power...I imagine that would be painful and dangerous. Give me a call when it happens, I can stop by quickly so you can take it again. Least I can do. But I really should go, got to check it with my partner let him know that the market was safe today and see if Tommy or Alice want to visit tomorrow."
