"Well no shit I can don't you think I know that and that thought kind of terrifies me...also Hellfire knows that and they won't stop until they find out what that way is," Caleb glanced over at Abby and lowered his voice to a whisper so only she could hear, "how about I save you some time...poison...my body fights against it since it knows it's wrong and tries to adapt to it until it dissipates, the more deadly the longer I'm out of commission and during that time I'm susceptible to any other attack." He pulled back and brought his voice back to a normal level, "there you go...now you know how to kill me, but I trust you Abs, and even though I know right now I'm pissing you off to no end I know you really don't want me dead. We were good together while it lasted, you can't deny that."
"I'm not part of that government...the section I'm a part of is a bit different. Not many people know about it, we keep to the shadows, they just started using our kind to help. We're the ones who make sure you and all the norms and mutants are safe...we are the ones who are trying to bring Hellfire down. I don't think you realize how dangerous Hellfire is now...since Enders left. The new guy in charge it psychotic...he would nuke this whole city and not bat an eyelash, at least Enders had some restraint and didn't want our kind caught in the cross fire."
"Well if Hellfire does decide to nuke us you'll be happy to have it...you and I might be the only ones to survive. I'm pretty sure we could survive a nuclear blast...the radiation poisoning might put us down for a bit but...who knows...personally I don't want to find out," Caleb let out a breath and leaned his head on the back of the bench.
"I don't have a complex about it, I'm just saying I didn't tell them where I went, I cut ties with them completely when I left Frye Island," he rolled his eyes, "fine I'm a five year old you wanna be my mommy Abs?"
