"No.. no, I didn't say that." Jimmy started pacing in the middle of the cafe. He had been on the phone with his secretary for a solid fifteen minutes now, trying to clear up a misquoted blurb from his latest statement about what his platform for his campaign is. It was frustrating to deal with, when people tried to twist his every word against him. Such was the life of a career politician.
Eventually, he stopped in front of a window and looked out of it, listening to every word the woman on the other end of the phone was saying to him. She was reading an email back to him. Jimmy wanted to make sure that he was hearing every last word so that he didn't sound like a fool in the email that would be sent on his behalf. "Okay, yeah.. yeah... no. Well," he paused and listened to the woman chatter on. "Yeah, okay. Send it."
Jimmy was going to keep talking to the woman and ask her about another email that he had read on his phone minutes before she called but someone was talking behind him, and Jimmy was almost positive that he was the one being spoken to. "Uh.. yeah, I'll call you back later." He slid his phone shut and pressed the end button on the touch screen.
He tried to turn around as suavely as possible to see who it was as he shoved his phone back into his coat pocket and straightened himself out. "Sorry about that," Jimmy looked at the man and smirked, "Senator."
(ooc: I've been meaning to tag this for weeks now but I totally forgot. I'm sorry :( )
