Who: Jimmy and Camden
What: Hiding him for the weekend
When: This weekend
Where: Starting at the airport
Rating: TBD

There were some people in Camden's 'line of work' that were easier to work with than others. Some were much less pleasant to be around, were entirely too crabby and demanding or in contrast were painfully clingy, needy, or weepy. Those sorts made the likes of Jimmy Monroe seem angelic.

For a politician, he was surprisingly pleasant to be around, though Camden had to wonder if that was only because he was doing him such a great 'favor'. Still, there weren't all that many politicians that could pull off hiding their private lives with so much charm.

At present, Cam was sitting in the front seat of a black car, tapping his fingers idly against the steering wheel. Congressman Monroe was due any moment now, and though he would never press his clients, nor ask unnecessary questions, he had to admit he was curious as to what 'rather nice place' he was in for.

"With traffic the way it is," Camden answered. "That's probably just about right."

It crossed Camden's mind, as he spotted Jimmy's significant other watching them go through the window, that it was a little unusual for Jimmy to want to hideout all by his lonesome when he had someone at home he could be spending his time with. Then again, with divorced parents, maybe it shouldn't have been surprising at all.

Camden kept up the idle chit chat as needed until they were almost to the airport. "As I'm assuming you plan on being seen until your plane lands, I'll drop you off and go park. We can board separately to avoid any... suspicion." He tossed a smirk his employer's way as he pulled up curbside and stepped out to retrieve his luggage.

"See you soon, sir."

Jimmy nodded and tried to idly fill the time by chatting with Camden. He was a politician after all, and damn good at his job. He also didn't know much about Camden other than his siblings and what he did for a living. Plus, it'd be an awfully long weekend if they were just sitting there in silence. What was the harm in befriending Camden anyways?

"That'd probably be best," Jimmy said, nodding and taking his briefcase with him as he head into the airport with his luggage in tow. "See you in a bit, Camden." It felt weird being referred to as sir but he'd gotten used to it from how other people felt the need to refer to people in positions of authority with a more proper title. It was strange hearing it from people who were on Frye Island with him though. They were one in the same, not above or below one another.

He shrugged it off though and went into the airport, checking in and going through to the gate without any problems. Every so often he looked around to make sure that no one he recognized was around him aside from Camden. Everything went off without a hitch and within time they landed in Hawaii and were leid when they got off the plane. Jimmy grabbed his suitcase and looked around for Camden. When he spotted him, he went over to Cam and smirked. "Nice enough?"

Camden took the opportunity of the flight to take a very solid nap, knowing he'd need his strength for an entire weekend of making the congressman disappear (and because, let's be honest, it was a long ass flight and he had nothing better to do).

With a few hours of sleep under his belt, he was in a good mood by the time flowers were draped around his neck, and he returned the man's smirk with one of his own. "Not particularly looking to complain," he answered with a chuckle. "Does the hotel know you're coming, or are we getting down to business right away?" Sometimes, Cam couldn't help but throw in innuendos. People he worked with had a tendency to take things far too seriously and not even realize it, which made it all the better.

Jimmy chuckled with Camden and started walking away from the plane with his luggage in tow. He ignored the innuendo that Cam made, refraining from making a comment about it. They may be on a mini-vacation together but they were supposed to be business partners after all. "They know we'll be coming."

He paused and looked over at Camden sternly. "If anyone asks, by the way, you're a Senator from Delaware and we've known each other since college." He wasn't doubting his powers but in the off chance that he wasn't able to keep it up the entire weekend and someone saw and started asking questions, they needed a story. It wasn't normal for a politician to just randomly take off and go to Hawaii, especially without his spouse. And plus, the last thing Jimmy wanted were people getting the wrong idea about what he was doing there with Camden since he was a rather attractive young man.

Such a serious face. Camden shrugged his shoulders. "Senator from Delaware. Sure. ...Where did we go to college?" Camden had undergone a brief stint in university himself, but the notion of having actually completed a degree and likely gone on to even more was a foreign concept to him. He wondered if it was even possible for him to pull off the working professional type. 28 year old senator. Ruling the world. Eh. He'd make it work.

On the way to the hotel, he glanced over at Jimmy. "I'm assuming you'll like a little time to settle. What time would you like me to meet you?"

"Well," Jimmy thought for a second, debating whether or not to have Camden portray another lie or not. "I went to Hobbs and worked my way up in the political food chain through connections. Hobbs should be fine unless you'd prefer somewhere more upscale. In which case, we didn't meet in college, we've just known each other since we were kids." That should be a good enough lie if anyone found them. Honestly though, why would someone even follow him on a plane all the way out in Hawaii? Then again, people did some weird shit once they elected you. Suddenly, they were tracking your every move.

Jimmy shrugged, "I suppose." He wasn't usually the one that needed time to settle in; that was his spouse most of the time. It'd probably feel weird not working through the same old travel habits. "How about in an hour, down by the beach?"

Cam couldn't help but let out a soft snort of amusement at the notion of him preferring something more upscale. "Hobbs is fine." Okay, sure, Camden made a lot of money with his off the books work- an awful lot, really- but he had never considered himself upscale (minus maybe his wardrobe, but that was another story).

"You want to be seen walking down there?" Cam asked. He was under the impression that this was a secret getaway.

Jimmy considered it for a minute. In an hour, there'd most likely be only a very small crowd down at the beach, if anyone at all. He kept walking silently as he thought about how big of a risk that might be. "Good thinking. Meet me at my room then. It should be at the opposite end of the hall as your own room. We can leave from there."

In no time, the two were checked into the hotel and in their respective rooms. He really didn't need an hour to get ready but he'd have Camden attached to him for almost all of the weekend to come so it was probably best for the both of them to have some time apart, aside from when they were sleeping. Jimmy sat on the edge of the bed and texted his spouse to say that he had safely landed and was going to be off the map for the next few days but if anything went wrong, they'd be the first to know either via a text or the media. He shut his phone and tossed it on top of his bag.

When he looked up, his eyes landed on the bottle of liquor on the table. Jimmy debated whether he should crack it open, running through a list of pros and cons. It was tempting but he knew he shouldn't have any. And with that, there was a knock on the door that Jimmy nearly ran to get.

Cam took the time to freshen up, having slept on a plane for a number of hours. He felt much cleaner (nevermind the fact that he was about to get sandy on the beach) once he was finished, and he watched a bit of television, before he slid on beach attire and finally headed over to Jimmy's room.

The man answered the door quickly, and Camden wasted no time. He'd been told that people felt like they were being covered in ooze or that they felt a sort of chill when Camden first used his abilities on them. Camden took their word for it. Though Jimmy had now mysteriously disappeared to the rest of the world, a paler, almost see-through version was left visible to Cam. "Done," he said, edging out of the doorway.

Jimmy shivered when he pulled open the door and immediately Cam used his power on him. He'd used it to hide him before but it was like throwing ice cubes down his pants - no matter how many times his niece and nephews did it to him, it still shocked him each time and made him jump around. Jimmy was half tempted to look in the mirror to make sure it was working but he figured that'd be a pretty insulting move so he just nodded and took Cam's word for it that he was hidden.

He didn't really know what to say to Camden as he walked alongside him and headed down to the beach with him. "So.." He shoved his hands in his pockets, "How long have you been hiding people?" Gosh, this was awkward. It was like a first date.

Camden was a little surprised Jimmy was so eager to talk to him. Most of the time his clients were keen on ignoring the fact that he was there. He had to admit that it was a nice change of pace.

As he answered, he did his best not to look like a schizophrenic talking to himself. "For a living? Since I attempted college. Wasn't really my kind of place." He had figured out right quick that getting a 'general education' wasn't his forte. "But I've been doing it- well, I started with objects when puberty hit, then figured out I could hide people when I was... I don't know... fifteen or so."

He glanced over at the misty image briefly. "So. How long have you been hiring people to hide you?"

Jimmy nodded and grinned. He connected the dots and figured that Camden found his comment about knowing each other in college funny earlier, because he didn't particularly like college. Had Jimmy known that, he might have come up with a lie that was more believable or fitting at least. "It's not for everyone. You can't learn how to hide people and make a business out of it in college."

He nodded again. Puberty seemed to be the time when everyone's powers started to kick in, as if middle and high school weren't tough enough. "That's when everyone started getting... abilities."

His eyes met Cam's for a minute and he chuckled. "I don't remember. When was the first time I hired you?"

"You're right about that much." Though he had figured out exactly what kind of clientele he should be aiming for in college, and generally speaking, they weren't the most savory, thoughtful sorts. It still struck him as odd that Jimmy had asked for his aid, though perhaps he had an entirely different side he hadn't seen yet. Most people had two faces these days.

"Would you be offended if I told you I wasn't entirely sure?" he answered, shrugging.

Jimmy smirked and shook his head as the two made their way through the sand, towards the water. "No, I don't remember when I first hired you either. It's not important." For a moment, Jimmy just walked in silence with Camden. He wanted to get to know him but what was he supposed to say? Camden didn't exactly seem like the most talkative person.

"So what else do you do?" Jobs seemed like something else Jimmy could hold a conversation with Camden about. "Since I'm assuming you don't do this all the time. It has to be incredibly draining."

"It's not so bad. I've done it so many times that it's gotten easier. I'm a bartender." It wasn't exactly the most upscale establishment, but it helped keep suspicious eyes off of the money he kept in the bank (or the money he didn't make as much of an effort to hide, anyway), and the guy who owned the place let him get away with his odd hours in exchange for the occasional cloaking favor. It was an ideal situation.

You know, the funny thing about beaches, they have a tendency to make you too relaxed, let your guard down. of course, liquor helps that situation. Those fruity little drinks packed a serious punch, and though Cam wasn't exactly to the point of slurring and stumbling, he had reached the point where he was comfortable laughing with- and at- a stranger, and the way their conversation had turned told him Jimmy was feeling the same.

"Come on. Someone who looks like you would've made an excellent trophy husband. You could've kicked up your heels and been a kept man. That's all I'm saying!" Cam had no idea how they'd gotten to that point. At some point on the beach, he'd decided Jimmy wasn't prudish enough to mind him removing his shirt and it was long gone as they entered the elevator back up to their rooms.

Jimmy rubbed his forehead a few times and smiled at Cam. He could tell that he had had one too many drinks with Camden on the beach. They were tall glasses and easily deceived anyone who was thirsty and wanted a bit of liquor. But it was a vacation after all and a few drinks weren't going to do too much to a big guy like Jimmy.

Mixed with compliments like Cam was throwing at him, those few drinks were going to pack a punch. He didn't really know how to respond to Camden. He knew how he was supposed to respond but his inhibition was half way out the window and he wasn't about to pull it back in. 'Let loose,' Jimmy thought to himself. 'What happens in Hawaii, stays in Hawaii.'

"Well, you're the pretty little blonde thing. You look much better on someone's arm," Jimmy smiled and reached over to push aside a tuft of Cam's blonde hair.

(ooc: His hair is long like in his icons, right? xD otherwise, I'll change that)

Cam's head titled slightly to the side. In every situation there was a line. Sometimes it was finer than others, but it was always apparent when it had been crossed. You could always pinpoint when it happened. Those fingers in his hair danced right across it, and Cam felt his smirk growing as he nonchalantly eased slightly closer. "Turns out I like my job too much to play arm candy." His gaze flickered to the older man's lips and back up again. "It has its perks."

Jimmy's eyes locked with Camden's when he moved his hair aside and he watched as he spoke and then looked at Jimmy's lips. He didn't say anything about it even though he could have given him a lecture about being his employer and stuff like this being inappropriate, but he wasn't in his right mind to be doing something like that. And he wasn't exactly innocent either.

He opened his mouth to speak and the elevator dinged, the doors sliding open. Jimmy glanced from the doors to Camden and he slipped out of the elevator before the doors closed. "...do you want to come over for a little?" He ran a hand through his curls and smiled at Camden, hoping he'd come with.

Well, this was certainly an interesting turn of events. "I could do that," he answered, easing out of the elevator after him. He wasn't going to assume anything, what with the man inviting him over being his employer and all, but he had never been the kind of person to say no to an attractive person either.

Jimmy started grinning from ear to ear when Camden said he'd come over. He walked ahead of him, leading the way to his room. As soon as the two of them got in the room, he closed the door behind them and motioned for Camden to take a seat either on the edge of the bed or in the chair at the desk. "Do you want something to drink?" Jimmy reached for the bottle of liquor on the table and poured himself a bit more to drink. He turned over the second cup and looked over at Cam. "You don't have to hide me anymore, by the way."

Cam eased down on to the bed, eyeing the liquor in his employer's hand. "I'm alright, thanks." He needed to be on top of his game tomorrow if he had to hide the senator for an entire day. No one wanted to be hungover on the job.

Speaking of, with Jimmy's permission, he let the man become visible again. He felt that tension disappear and rolled his shoulders back. "Consider yourself visible."

Jimmy shrugged and put the second glass down, picking up his own instead and taking a sip. He shouldn't be drinking either but he was in his room and if he did anything stupid, Cam would surely stop him. When Cam made him visible again, Jimmy smirked and took a seat next to him.

"Thank you," he looked over at Cam and made sure to make eye contact with him. "For everything." Jimmy took another sip from his glass and looked Cam over. His eyes lingered on Camden's lips and then back up to his eyes, repeating the pattern a few more times before looking away completely. He knew better than to do something like that, especially at his age.

Cam's brows shot up as Jimmy walked away. "You're thanking me?" he asked, amused. "You're the one who flew me out to Hawaii." It wasn't exactly a hard job, enjoying the beach.

"Well..." Jimmy looked at Camden and smiled. "Yeah. I know I flew you out here, but you didn't have to agree to come and do this. You could have said no." He ignored the fact that he had offered a nice fat pay check to Camden for doing him this job.

He turned to face Camden with one leg on the bed, under him and the other dangling over the edge of the bed. Jimmy hesitated, just looking at Camden and debating what to do, debating what was appropriate. There was a hot young man sitting right in front of him and all he could think about was kissing him and having a damn good time with him. Jimmy's spouse completely took the back burner because, for the first time since they'd married, he was in a bedroom with another person and he could do stuff without anyone having to know but the two of them.

After thinking about it with a hazy thought process, Jimmy cupped Cam's cheek with his free hand. He stroked Camden's cheek with his thumb and leaned in to kiss him, though he did brace himself for a well-deserved rejection and slap across the face.

Even if, in some alternate universe, Camden was somehow offended by the passes of an attractive, well-to-do, congressman, the notion of him ever slapping a client was laughable.

As it was, Camden was not the easily offended sort, if that wasn't obvious by his easy return of Jimmy's lingering glances.

As Jimmy shifted forward, Cam returned the favor, and though slightly taken aback by the gentleness, he eagerly kissed him back, one hand vanishing up into the other man's hair.

Jimmy tensed right before Cam kissed him back and the glass that he had slipped out of his hand. It fell to the floor, shattering on the hard wood and the contents splashed all over the ground. Jimmy paid no attention to the glass breaking though, and instead pulled Camden closer with both hands free now, stealing kisses from him.

Egged on by the sound of Jimmy's dropped glass, Camden made an attempt to deepen the kiss as his spare hand took the chance to wander, shifting over strong shoulders and down to a chest Camden felt was surely entirely too fit for a politician.
