Abby took deep breaths to try to calm herself down and wiped at the few tears that were streaming down her cheeks. As he slid the test out of her hands, she didn't even resist. He had a right to know after all, since it definitely was his child. And saying the words didn't feel right just yet, it hadn't sunk in fully.
She knew Carter wasn't violent but she still braced herself for some sort of backlash and closed her eyes to take one last deep breath before looking up at him to see his reaction. Abby bit her lower lip as she saw Carter fumble with the box and come to the realization that she was pregnant. She scanned over his facial expression and the way he was moving, trying to tell if he was mad or upset or happy. Abby couldn't tell how he was reacting to it until he pulled her into the bedroom and literally picked her up and spun her around.
Tears were still running down her cheeks but Abby sheepishly smiled as the two of them fell onto the bed. As she smiled through the tears and kissed him, she laughed a little at how happy he was and sat up so that she was straddling him. "You're not mad?" Carter certainly didn't look mad but Abby just wanted to make sure that it wasn't just him covering up how he actually felt about bringing a child into a world like this. "Cause it's okay if you are, you know." She idly ran her hands along his chest, waiting for his reply.
