Emily had readied herself for the normal snarkfest between the two of them but was surprised when he simply gave her his order. He barely even looked at her, what was his deal? Something was distracting him, something big. She'd never seen him like this so she had to assume it had to be something big. The difference in his behavior caused her to actually...worry...about him. She didn't understand why all of a sudden she had the urge to sit down across from him and hold his hand asking him to tell her what was wrong. To clear her head of those thoughts she shook her head slightly and scribbled down his order.
Emily turned to go give the cooks his order when she paused. She hadn't said anything about what happened last time with him. He deserved it.
"Hey Donnie," she paused as she turned back to face him, "thanks, thanks for doing what you did last time. Your order is on me tonight." Emily gave him a smile and slipped the order to the cook and filled his drink.
Out of habit her head turned when the door pinged and she froze...it was Kevin and his friends. She was shocked out of her stare when she felt the rootbeer overflow the cup over her hand. Emily quickly wiped it up and turned to watch him. Her expression turned from the deer in the headlight shocked expression to one of confusion and shock. They looked terrible. Kevin still had his nose cast but now was also sporting a wrist brace and a boot on his left foot. Had it been anyone else she might have laughed as he tried to do that swagger of him with the constant thump of the boot. His friends didn't look much better a cast here, sling there, even an eye patch on one. She saw that smirk settle on his face when he saw her, she raised an eyebrow at him, was her really trying to freak her out. With the way he was looking she could blow on him and he wouldn't try anything. However, that wouldn't happen tonight because his eyes soon traveled around the restaurant and settled on Donnie. The expression she saw spread of Kevin's face was one she had never seen him wear before. It was the one he often caused her to wear. It was terror absolute fear. Clumsily he pushed his friends to get out the door quickly.
Emily's jaw dropped at that as her eyes flicked from the doors to Donnie and back again. Her eyes then stayed on Donnie as she put his drink down. She rested her hands on her hips and shot out, "What the hell did you do?"
