Who: Kaylee, Johnny, and some Nora
What: 12 Week Doctor's Appointment before pulling John off to dinner in a different thread.
Where: OB/GYN's office
When: Monday afternoon
Rating: PG
It was going to be a long day... True, that was going to be partly her own fault, but that didn't make it any easier. Johnny was just as responsible for this happening as she was and if he was going to keep his word about taking care of them... Well it would be a lot easier if he could actually come over to the house without being crucified in the backyard. Even when she was fighting up a storm with John, she didn't want him to get hurt. Right now she was trying to be happy with what she could be thankful for at the moment. She had been feeling slowly better and able to eat regularly again. Johnny had actually come and not changed his mind at the last minute. Her mom was there to act as mediator as needed and be the supportive one. She wanted to be able to share some of these little things with her dad, but for now it was for the best just to keep it to a minimum. He probably wouldn't really want to be there in the doctor's office with his little girl there with her shirt pulled up (it was even a little odd to think John was going to be in there), but still just being able to talk about it rather than walking on eggshells around the subject...
Kaylee was also glad in the day change so there wasn't the same crowd of women around as last time. At least then she could pretend she was just here to get checked out (despite having the boy right there and following her back when her name was called). The gossip circle was bad enough around the teenagers, so lord only knew what the clucking hens might do if they started putting things together. After this she would just stick to Mondays for her appointments since this would likely be the last time she could just get away with acting.
Admittedly it was kind of funny having two people there blocking up the hallways while they stopped to check her weight and then showed them back to the room and do blood pressure before sending her to the bathroom for a quick urine test. All before she could just settle in for a moment and wait for the doctor to come in. She could at least hope they hadn't started arguing over something while she was gone. Then Nora, at least to Kaylee, had been acting a lot more level-headed than her weirdly over-emotional daughter. One who was even looking vaguely girly today between her pink top and earrings. She just sat back on the upright examining chair/table/bed/thing. "Well this is fun..."
