Nothing new. I just... Annie is dealing with Penny. Lexie is back living at home. Alfie... I don't even know what's going on with Alfie anymore. I feel like I haven't talked to him in a long time.

Hmmm. Do you want to arrange a mandatory family dinner?

Possibly. I'm not sure what I'd say. I think Alfie would be more receptive to talking to me alone-- as long as I promise no more sex talks. Annie... I really wish I knew how she was dealing with Penny. I can't imagine it's easy.

The brief interaction I had with her today online suggests that - well, yes. It's hard and she's worried. :( I suppose these are healthy things, though? -- As for Alfie, even though I know you're right, I want you to be wrong.

I'm sorry, darling. He's just a mother's boy. Perhaps we can do something nice for Annie? I'm not sure what, but something nice.

I'm not so sure. I was thinking maybe a day trip off island? Or maybe a family trip for the night? We could visit my parents?

That could go awry awfully fast, couldn't it? Not to be a wet blanket or anything.

Well, I figure if we're both there, it wouldn't be so bad. It's not like our kids will try and escape. But if you think it's a poor idea, I can come up with something else. What do girls like these days?

I don't know about 'poor.' I'm worried, but I'm unsure as to why.
