Who: Kaylee Ramsey and Kate Sullivan What: Kay goes to the doctor and gets some unexpected news Where: Kate's practice When: Friday, June 24th [Pre-dated] Rating: TBD
Kaylee followed the nurse as she led her back to an examining room. There was so much that still needed to get done for that evening's performance of the Star Wars Musical, which had left her to go on her own. She really preferred it even though this had been one time she couldn't just hide the fact that she was sick. Early that week had just been nausea and had increased to what she thought was a stomach flu. She'd been drinking 7-Up and Cranberry juice for two days straight. She might have asked Johnny just for someone to talk to while waiting to get called back, but she was sure Penny was his bigger concern at the moment. She didn't want to become another worry so she could just go to the doctor, get some antibiotics, and everything would be better. At worst she would be forced to stay in bed while her mom brought her chicken soup. The faster she got well again, the better.
The rooms back here always seemed to feel cold no matter how often she'd been back here. Admittedly it hadn't been much. At 14 she had felt a little bit too old for a place that sill had "Hop On Pop" as part of its fine reading material. She just played a game on her phone though until the nurse came in to take down her symptoms and check over her vitals. Really the only thing that seemed seriously wrong to her was the nausea and being tired. At least the doctor would be in soon to talk to her and see if they had any other tests they wanted to run on her. Afterward though she was going to be calling down to the theater and trying to order them around over the phone. That part would be fun.
Kaylee looked up with a small smile when Dr. Sullivan came in and just held up her phone a little. "According to WebMD I might have a brain tumor. Probably a good thing I came to you instead because it can hopefully only get better from there. At least I'd like to think so." She said it all with just a flat tone, closing up the electronic and preparing herself to get poked at some more.
