Kaylee took in the praise for a while longer and sitting on her drink before setting it down on the table to get the lampshade wrapped up again before something did happen. More likely the roof falling in than her mother at the moment. Her reflexes were good enough to about prevent that. And if something (heaven forbid) did happen, there was still butterflies for flower pots or something. "And I always thought that was just a magic trick from going around on the carpet dragging his socked feet to wake me up in the morning." Or make her jump about 5 feet in the air while she was in the middle of a muffin. You had to be able to laugh a little bit if you were going to survive in the Ramsey house for long.
