Sam laughed, "Nah, you're right." He shrugged and downed the second half of his beer, feeling suddenly like he must be really behind as far as the level of tipsy around there went. He supposed he couldn't speak for everyone else, but at the very least, Mia was drunker then him, and being the sober teenager at a party was a little like being a zebra in a room of lions. Without the slaughter, but with all the awkward and the awareness that you were very very different.
"Guess I don't get out much." He shrugged again and shook his head, "It's okay. I don't talk much, so you can fill in the gaps, it's cool." He gave her a small encouraging smile. It was kind of adorable when she blushed.
