Who: Josie & Elliot
What: A talk...and powers make things awkward
When: backdated Monday, May 9th, right after school
Where: Allen residence
Rating: Medium/High (pheromones, Josie, need I say more XD)
Status: In-Progress

The minute class was out Josie found a secluded location outside and used her skill to get home. With her new outlook she normally would look at the use of her power as selfish, but she had to get ready for her...date. She smiled at that. Alan seemed like a really sweet guy, and he said her hair was beautiful. Now Josie knew she was pretty, but hearing it from someone, especially a guy someone else was always nice to hear. Also what stood out is how he complimented her hair, not her legs or...other parts of her anatomy that most guys tend to notice more than others. She worked hard to make her hair look nice and it was nice for a guy to recognize it and compliment her on it.

Josie pulled the rubber band from her hair and let the frizzy mess fall over her shoulders. Normally she'd have time to fix it before Alan came over, but for some reason Elliot wanted to come over to talk about something. Josie found that sort of strange. She knew him from around but they never really talked, he was awkward and Josie never really went for that...well...until recently, but still Elliot Fisher didn't really "do it" for her. Whatever. She let her hair straightener start to warm up in the bathroom as she changed into what she'd wear on her date. Nothing super flashy or revealing. She just threw on a pair of her designer jeans and a short sleeved black shirt that hugged her figure. Putting a bit of frizz control in her hair it made some of the fly aways calm down so she could straighten her hair. She decided that time was of the essence so she made her hands move a bit faster while doing her hair. It was just enough that her normal procedure of straightening her hair went by a bit faster than normal. She sprayed it with a bit of flexible hold gel and examined it. 'Heh, Josie-1, Humidity-0.' Then the doorbell rang.

Grabbing her make up bag, she'd do it while they talked, looking nice for her date was more important than whatever Elliot Fischer wanted to talk about. She opened the door for him,

"Remember, make this quick I've got a date in a few minutes."

Elliot didn't know Josie especially well, but it was hard not to hear about her reputation as... less than chaste. She was supposedly a bit on the wild side, which was the exact opposite of Alan. Alan liked things simple and organized, and you had to be blunt and honest and the more stable things were, the better. Josie just didn't fit into that mold, and he wanted to tell her so... without offending her, which was the difficult part.

As she pulled open the door, he was relieved, at least, to see she wasn't wearing anything too revealing. Her attitude, though, had him frowning slightly as he stepped inside. He had on his work uniform from the country club, where he was headed after this conversation. "Uh. So." If there was one fault of Elliot's, it was that he had trouble voicing his thoughts properly. "Look, Alan isn't- And you aren't-" He took in a breath as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "Alan is different. And you say you know, but I don't think you do." There. It still came out more abrasive than he wanted to, but at least he'd gotten to the point.

Josie was a little confused at his frowning expression. Did someone die or something and they sent him over to tell her. Jacen and JJ were fine as far as she knew. She saw JJ a few minutes ago and she was sure Annie or one of the Bailey's would text her if something happened to Jacen. Then he started talking and she managed to get the pieces of what he was saying, something about Alan. 'Oh, right, Elliot is Alan's cousin, I totally forgot about that!' Then he seemed to gather his thought and spat out what he had been trying to say. Her expression turned stern and serious as she crossed her arms over her chest,

"I know he's different, I get that, I've seen it first hand. And sure I don't know all the in outs and buts about his condition but I'm willing to learn. I've read up on it, Toni sent me info about it so I sort of understood what I was dealing with," she ran a hand through her hair, "I mean is it so hard for people to believe that maybe I'm being serious about this, that maybe I'm trying to be a better person. I like him, a lot, he's very sweet to me. I won't hurt him, I promise. I'm not the same Josie Allen anymore. I mean I am it's just...I'm not going to get what I want from him then toss him. Also I'm not going to force him into anything he isn't comfortable with, I'm being careful...I just wish his family and friends would trust me."

No, he didn't trust her. Hadn't she been the reason that her twin brother had moved out of their house? Because she was so cruel? How was she going to be with someone like Alan? It took patience, and she didn't exactly seem full of that this afternoon, did she?

"Alan isn't a project for you. I've heard the way you talk about him. That you want to... to... make him a better person? He already is a good person. He doesn't need to be fixed."

With every word his said Josie's anger rose up. She was so sick of this, she was trying to be a better person, why didn't anyone believe her. Sure Jacen said he did but he might have said it just to appease her. Now deep, deep down she knew that it wasn't surprising that people were questioning her motives or didn't really believe that she was trying to change or that she wouldn't succeed. She had always been the one to say that she was happy the way she was and she never was going to change. She slept with whoever she wanted, took...well...borrowed whatever she wanted, and said whatever she wanted with no thoughts of the consequences. But now she really had decided to start being a grown up. Learn that things had consequences, actually pay for things she wanted, make money so she can pay for such things, only sleep with someone when there were real feeling behind it, and think before she spoke. The last on that list was going to be the hardest for her.

"Just stop okay...sure at first I referred to his as a project because I thought I could help him interact with society even better than he already does okay. I know he does very well and I know he's a good person, I've seen it. I never said he was broken okay. I want to be the better person okay, I know I'm no where near perfect and I have a way to go, but I'm trying okay, and I wish that would count for something. I really like him, a lot, he's sweet to me and seems to like me for me. He doesn't like me because of my body or my reputation. I haven't met many guys who are like that in my life." Suddenly she realized how pathetic she sounded, begging some guy she barely knew to trust her. That wasn't her and being a weak person wasn't part of her new Josie Allen design. She shook her head, "You know what, forget it. You have no right to judge me, you don't know me. I want you to leave, now."

Josie could tell that he wasn't going to leave on his own so she went up and grabbed his wrist to make him go. The moment she touched his skin something rushed through her. Something strange and...thrilling. She glanced to where her bare hand was curled around his wrist and trailed up to meet his face. And suddenly Josie didn't want him to leave anymore. She never wanted him to leave.

One thing he was starting to learn about Josie was that when she talked, she talked. Did she even breathe in between sentences? It was impossible to get a word in, so he was resigned to letting her go off at him until she finally came to an abrupt stop. Finally, his lips parted to speak, only to be interrupted. He was bracing himself for another lecture, but no, she was shooing him out, dragging him out, even.

"You don't have to-" But before he could finish that thought, she was looking at him... oddly. He was vaguely reminded of the day in the laundromat, but clearly the two events had nothing in common. (Josie was, suffice to say, quite different from Ethan). His brows furrowed as he stared down at her. "...Josie?"

Josie turned her body to completely face him and shut her eyes as a tremble went through her when he said her name. At that moment she never though her name would sound so good coming from someone. She wanted him...now. Forget everything else. She wanted Elliot Fisher and she wanted him now. She wrapped her other arm around his neck and crasher her lips onto his. The hand that had been clasped on his wrist trailed up his arm to cradle the side of his face. She pressed her body close to his wanting...no needing more of him.

Elliot's eyes nearly popped out of his head as Josie slammed her lips against his. Where was this coming from?! Two seconds ago she'd been telling him to leave! Now she was kissing him? If this could even be called kissing- Elliot was sure it was a step up from that, whatever that meant. Still, he didn't understand why it was happening, and he knew that, unlike with Ethan that day, he wanted it to stop.

His hands quickly came up to the skin of her arms, pushing her back from him. Despite his gentle demeanor, swimming for years made him strong, and it was easy to tug her backward and away from him. "What are you doing?"

Josie was so lost in the wonderful sensation of Elliot's lips and body pressed against hers that she didn't notice that he wasn't responding. She was shocked and tried to resist as he pushed her away. She barely heard his question as she tried to reach for him again. She needed it.

"No, Elliot, I need you, I love you, touch me, hold me, please," now anyone who knew Josie, knew that she wasn't the clingy type, sure she rarely took no for an answer. But begging and pleading wasn't her style which made what was currently going on very strange, "I need it. I can't live without you."

"What are you talking about?" he asked, his body leaning away from her in an attempt to get as much distance between them as possible. He was reluctant to let her go for fear that she would launch herself at him again, but maybe if he made a break for it. No... he couldn't run out. That was pathetic, right? What if he just gave her a little shove? But then she could run into something or fall and get hurt, and he'd have that on his conscience. What would normal people do in this situation? Did normal people really find themselves in these kinds of situations?

Elliot realized he'd disappeared inside his own head again, that he was staring at Josie, and finally decided his best bet was to release her and take a few hasty steps backward. "Just... stop!" His hands dropped as he put the distance between them, still watching her warily. "Are you crazy?"

Josie just wanted him to shut up and kiss her already. Why was he fighting this? Didn't he feel this way too? How could he not when she felt this so strongly? Didn't he want her? Wasn't she pretty enough? "I love you Elliot, I want to be with you forever!" She watched as he just stared at her for a while, he was thinking about it. He was going to come to a decision and kiss her senseless any second, she just knew it!

He shouted at her and let her go and took a step back. Josie's head cleared of the fog and suddenly was insanely confused as Elliot asked if she was crazy. She remembered what she had just been doing. "I might just be," she whispered to herself before meeting his eyes, "What the hell just happened?"

"I think you should stay away from Alan," Elliot said after a moment. The thought of her latching on to him like she just had was a touch on the horrifying side. "He can't handle this kind of thing." Elliot wasn't sure that he could handle this kind of thing, honestly. He looked Josie over for a moment as if to be sure she wasn't going to attack him again. Upon deciding she didn't look ready to pounce, he gave her one last look, clearly disapproving, and made a beeline for the door.

Josie's mind was spinning and she didn't even respond to Elliot's statements. She let herself fall back to sit on the couch. Her hand cautiously touched her lips. What had just happened? She didn't feel that way about Elliot, she barely knew him. And no offense to him or anything, but he really didn't 'do it' for her. He was just too awkward. He wasn't cute awkward like Alan was. Alan...oh no...what would he think if he found out? Elliot was his cousin, of course he'd tell him, warn him away from a girl like her. Oh God, oh God, why did this even happen. What had she been doing? It was as if she had no control over her mind and body. It wasn't normal it wasn't natural. She touched him then all of a sudden she was madly in love with him and couldn't live without him then he let her go and it vanished. She looked at her hand...contact.

Josie glanced up to Elliot who was making a beeline for the door. It was him, there was something that he did to make her act that way. She stood up, "What did you do? I'm not like this. I don't cling. And...no offense or anything, but you really don't 'do it' for me. So...what did you do?"

Elliot paused in his steps, frowning at her door. What, so now this was his fault? He'd heard a lot of crazy things, but blaming him for the fact that she had practically tackled him and forced a kiss on him was absolutely ridiculous. Elliot was not an angry person, but he could feel it bubbling beneath the surface. "I don't know what's wrong with you, Josie, but it isn't my fault," he snapped, not bothering to turn and look at her as he disappeared out her front door (which he managed not to slam out of respect for her parents).
