Brendan tried to ignore numerous jokes that popped into his head at what Natalie had said as he rubbed the tanning cream into his hands before placing them gently against her back. He massaged the cream into her smooth skin softly, being careful of the bruises on her shoulder. "Sorry that you had to go through that. I'm sure that wasn't fun, and hard for a while."
