Alan smiled when she got down, feeling better that she wasn't on top of that basket anymore, which he doubted was going to hold her weight much longer as they weren't exactly the sturdiest things in the world. Plus, she wasn't latched onto the shelves, which also looked pretty dangerous. "Yes, I will," he said, happy to help with his response. Still though, he didn't move from his spot and just looked at her as if he had just made her day.
Lucky for Josie, Alan's supervisor happened to be walking by as this exchange was taking place and stepped in to intervene. "Alan, get the young lady a bottle of chocolate syrup. We have some in the back," she said. Aha! It finally clicked in his head, and he nodded before turning to go fetch the desired article. His supervisor looked tired as she usually had to deal with this on a daily basis. "You have to tell him to do it or else he won't know what you mean," she explained to Josie.
In no time, Alan returned with the bottle of chocolate syrup and handed it to Josie. "Have a nice day!" he said brightly. Well, they had said that whenever you served a customer you were supposed to wish them a good day.
