WHO: Seth and Francis WHAT: Phone call in reaction to the Maine-Lander. WHEN: Thursday, February 17?; morning RATING: PG-13 for cussin', I'm sure.
They hadn't spoken since Francis had confronted Seth about leaking info about the project to Christine, and Francis had been okay with that after a while. Things with Christine weren't back to normal, but they were better. She was talking to him again, at least.
Seth was another issue altogether, and Francis wasn't sure if he was doing what Seth wanted by dialing his number, but Francis admittedly didn't care, either. He'd known Clark Enders personally, and the news that he'd died of a heart attack so suddenly was a huge blow. As much as Seth resented his parents, Francis thought Seth must be devastated.
As soon as Seth picked up, Francis froze on the other end of the line. What was he supposed to say? My condolences? He probably should have thought it out more before immediately picking up the phone after the bad news.
"… I heard about your dad," was all he could muster.
