WHO: Annie and Open
WHAT: typical teen stuff
WHEN: after school one day
WHERE: Her front lawn
The days that Annie didn't work typically found her leafing through one book or another. She'd already gone through the entire library, but she needed something to do to pass the time, and since she wasn't at all coordinated, that left re-reading things. And, since the weather today was alright, Annie had decided to settle under a tree, thumbing through a book, eyes closed. When she reached a certain page, eyes opened for a split second, taking in the page before they slid shut again. It was a game she played with herself, memorizing things for fun.
"Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee. Sink all coffins and all hearses to one common pool! and since neither can be mine, let me then tow to pieces, while still chasing thee, though tied to thee, thou damned whale! Thus, I give up the spear!"
