Thank god she wasn’t shocking him now. It would be a horror movie come to life. Amelia wasn’t ready to deal with something like that, nor would she ever be if she literally hurt someone in the future. No, no, don’t think of silly things like that, she thought to herself. She had to keep smiling so what she was thinking wasn’t seen through the littlest of twitches her features could give away. Hearing his laughter did make her feel better. Thinking about what she said after it was already said, would have made the moment awkward if he didn’t laugh with her. But then again, when was it ever awkward between them? It never crossed her mind that she was holding a boy’s hand. Maybe it was a good thing she didn’t. Maybe that would have set off the lovely awkward moment. No one would ever know.
When Gio moved his hand away, she tucked hers back underneath the table to rest with the other in her lap. She couldn’t even finish what was left in her bowl – there wasn’t much left besides one piece of beef and some noodles. She did stare at it though for the time being. Didn’t make it disappear like some parents liked to tease their children with if they stared at their food for a long period of time.
Controlling it, huh? Could that even be possible for her? Amelia gnawed on her bottom lip before giving an answer. “From what I’ve witnessed, my emotions set it off. Or it just randomly happens when I want something to turn on that needs electricity.” Does this mean she’ll need something to keep her moodiness in check?
